Sam the GM quoted me a price over the phone and then confirmed it via e-mail. I waited a week, asked for a price on a different car, and couldn't get them, via e-mail, to confirm whether that was the pr confirmed it via e-mail. When they finally confirmed it was the pre-tax cost, I sent an e-mail saying i felt misled and told them what I'd buy the car for. Sam called me within minutes, and whenever I started talking, he interrupted. I asked if I could finish speaking, he said no and then proceeded to yell at me as I hung up on him. Fast forward to later when I see an Ad in the paper for the car I wanted, so I called the internet sales manager I had earlier worked with and told him I'd buy it as long as when I came down, nobody tried to play games with me. I get to the dealer and after looking at the car to make sure I want it, they required me to fill out a credit application. I explained to them that I have already secured a loan and that I did not need to fill out a credit application. They insisted that I only needed to fill it out so that they had my contact information. I said that I'd give them my name, address, phone #, and e-mail (which they already had) on a separate form that didn't say it was a credit application. I was told that they needed it on that form but that they wouldn't pull my credit. I fought back with them and they kept insisting that I needed to fill out their form. I said I'd do it if I can write "No credit pulls authorized" on the form. The sales manager who was "helping" me then told me that he didn't want to sell me a car and walked away. I assume he was trying to call my bluff, but I wasn't bluffing. There are plenty of other dealers who are more honest and don't play games that I can shop at. UPDATE TO THEIR RESPONSE: Sam the GM stated in his reply that he is "under the contention that we did nothing wrong other than have a misunderstanding of terms of the deal." I guess interrupting me on the phone to yell at me and trying to convince me that a form titled "Credit Application" was not going to pull my credit report/score is an acceptable business practice in his world. My issue was with how I was treated, not with a misunderstanding over the terms of a deal. I made my purchase elsewhere, spent slightly more money, and was treated with respect throughout the whole process. More
I went into oc Nissan looking for a pre owned or new vehicle. Alex introduced himself and ended up getting me a 2010 maxima that I originally was eyeballing. I was in a rush to buy a new car, needed for a new job. Not the best circumstances, I know. Well, not only did Alex find me a car that fit my needs, he fit my budget as well. Then, Rene went above and beyond during the financing and fought for a better rate. Who does that? We didn't ask, it just happened, and it was a 3 point difference! OUTSTANDING SERVICE at OC Nissan. Never felt pressured, and it was an easy, pleasant experience. I highly recommend these guys! More
Went to see a used car on their lot for my daughter. They quoted me a price which seemed OK. I came back the next day, took it for a test drive with my daughter and said I would take it at the price he had o quoted me a price which seemed OK. After 15 mins waiting the salesguy said he had made a big mistake and it was the 'wrong car' despite their being no other similar cars on their lot, and that this one cost about $1,500 MORE than he had told me. After several drawn out back and forths with his faceless 'manager' he said no deal even at the (higher) price I had offered. We departed very, very disappointed after wasting a considerable amount of time. I bought the same car (model, color and year with better mileage) the same day elsewhere in OC for approximately the original price he had quoted. I fear a scam once they saw my excellent credit (which they apparently ran according to the dealer I actually bought from) and saw that my daughter really, really wanted the car. Not once did the faceless sales manager come to take control of the 'mistake', or even say sorry for the inconvenience. Run do not walk from this dealer.... More
I just purchased my second Nissan from this dealership, and thanks to Sam Klein, the GM, the experience was just as good as our first visit. Sam doesn't play games, or pressure his customers. He is honest and straightforward, and I can't think of a better combination for a car dealership's general manager. True story: after contacting OC Nissan of Irvine to inquire about trading in my Frontier (thanks Adrian...cool guy and very responsive), I ran a few errands with the wife and then drove home to pick up the truck and drive it down to the dealership. Never had one problem with the truck. Not one. Until then. The battery was totally dead. Died right before the final trip to the dealer. (what luck, huh? Wouldn't even jump start) It was already early evening on a Sunday, so I figured Sam would not be able to wait for us to fix the battery issue and drive down from North OC. I called him and explained the situation. Not only did Sam wait about 2 hours for us, but he added $100 to the agreed upon trade value of my truck, to reimburse me for the battery replacement. He and Adrian got us out of the dealership with our new Rogue in a very short time, and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommended. Thanks Sam! More
