Please don’t oversell warranty especially to person who owns cars for 25years in CA. Most of it don’t show frustrated face if someone doesn’t buy warranty. Penny wise and pound foolish is the experience I just had with Niello Acura. I purchased a 2024 Type S MDX in March of 2024. I had a good experience with my salesperson Chris Knutson. This week I went in with Niello Acura. I purchased a 2024 Type S MDX in March of 2024. I had a good experience with my salesperson Chris Knutson. This week I went in for my first service and it was handled. Where my one star rating comes in is from my request to install my front license plate. I was never provided a plate rim for the front so asked for it to be installed. I was told they would do after I purchased a front plate. This puzzled me as I have never had a dealer not want to put their own rim on a plate due to the ongoing free advertising. I am perfectly capable of buying a plate, but this hit me wrong. I asked my service person to talk to a Manager. He did and I was told "we are very good about always including on all new cars, so I must be mistaken". Really, Neillo Acura, you just lost a customer. I purchase new cars every 3 years or so due to my job and I will NEVER purchase or recommend your dealership. Treating me like I had to be mistaken or was trying to get a "free" plate rim when I have purchased a relatively expensive car is ridiculous. This on top of the fact that your Finance person at the time of purchase told me I had to purchase the theft protection since "it was already installed" when it was simply setting loose in the glove box is just shady. Perhaps while forgetting to install the theft deterrent box, they also forget a plate rim. Just a thought. Goodbye Neillo! More
