Amazing Experience! I have been driving a Lexus 2010 RX 350 for seven years. It has been a great car, but with 85,000+ miles and driving solo to Palm Beach from Maryland, I have been driving a Lexus 2010 RX 350 for seven years. It has been a great car, but with 85,000+ miles and driving solo to Palm Beach from Maryland, I decided last year it was time for the new model. Suffice it to say since last December I have been trying to buy this car, but I had a certain color scheme in mind and I wanted the wood and leather steering wheel which is shown as an option on the premium model on line. Having spoken with and visited various dealerships (Rockville, Delaware and Palm Beach) I was told repeatedly I could not get the car I wanted-- not just not in stock but non-existent. When I asked about special ordering, various sales people put me off, I think wanting the immediate sale. My final experience going this route was about 8 days ago when the sales team asked me if it was really worth paying $8-10,000 more for that steering wheel which Icould then have perhaps April 2017. Would I like to make a deposit on the one I test drove? Being totally frustrated I remembered that last summer I had seen a beautiful white RX 350 like the one I wanted. The driver told me he bought it at a dealership in Alexandria from a good guy named Sid. I called the dealership that night in one last effort not to compromise. I got Sid on the phone and told him if he could find the car I wanted it would be the easiest sale he ever made. He asked if he could call me back in 10 minutes- I thought here we go again........But guess what? HE FOUND MY NON-EXISTENT CAR, down to the last detail, complete with wood and leather steering wheel IN 10 MINUTES!!! I visited Lindsay Lexus the next day and stroked a check for the car, after they got me a good price for my 2010 model. Not only was it a beautiful dealership with courteous staff, but I now have a new friend in Sid. Lindsay is lucky to have this young professional on the sales team. He is not at all pushy but is a force in and of himself as he guides you through the sales process. I can't wait to drive my new car to Florida! Thank you Sid! Literally Took One Day I was shopping around for a car for my mother. She is a big Lexus fan, and has had her RX300 for 16 years, but did not want to let go of it when it was having issues. I was referred to Carlo by a friend, and he did not disappoint. He was always available through email and phone communication. Plus, he made sure vehicles were prepared for my mother's test drive, so the process would progress smoother and quicker. My mother hasn't bought a car in a while, but her negotiation skills were still there, and Carlo made sure we walked away with a deal. After watching him go back and forth from the desk to his manager's desk, we finally came to an agreement! I think I was happier than my mom was because I didn't want to cross shop with other dealerships, especially because there are only two Lexus dealers in the Northern Virginia Area. We had a 72-hour opening to turn in our trade-in, sign the documents, and pick up the car. My mother was able to drive away in the vehicle she wanted a few days before Christmas! After it was all done we settled on a L/Certified 2013 Lexus RX 350 and I even forgot to mention that he also came in on his day off to make sure that we got the car that he worked so hard to get in budget. Josh went out of his way to locate the exact color of car I wanted even though it was in limited supply and possibly on hold somewhere else.
