Gave me a GREAT trade in. I have never had a new car before so this experience was very special to me. Great salesmen, funny, and easy to do business with. I was very pleased. I would recommend Lindsay before so this experience was very special to me. Great salesmen, funny, and easy to do business with. I was very pleased. I would recommend Lindsay Chev. to everyone. More
We went in to Lindsay Chevrolet in early August 2012 while my significant other was looking to purchase a truck. We found one at Lindsay Chevy that fit the bill. A few walks around the lot and a test while my significant other was looking to purchase a truck. We found one at Lindsay Chevy that fit the bill. A few walks around the lot and a test drive and we are at the desk talking financing and price. The salesman was a really nice but inexperienced. That was no matter because the salesmen have no power at Lindsay, it's the Sales Managers that do all the real work between the customer and the General Manager. From the start our sales manager Johnnan Johnson was using shady dealer tactics like not saying what interest rate was approved for, only that "it's a good one." Well turns out it was not a good one at all and they could have and did go a lot lower. Next he would not reveal what the actual out the door price of the truck was only that "your payment is $X." Now, I know that many dealers use these tactics and this is not why I gave such a bad rating. After hours at the dealership the time had come and could not do a deal today, mostly due to the fact me and my partner had somewhere to be and we had already spent hours haggling. It was when my significant other asked me "what should I do" and I said "we have to go" and we got up, that the sales manager Johnnan Johnson started yelling at me "COME ON MAN WHAT THE xxxx." As we were walking away from the desk he angrily grabs a chair and pushes it across the showroom continuing to yell at me saying "I ALMOST HAD THE DEAL MAN WHAT THE xxxx." My jaw drops I'm embarrassed. We are now a spectacle in the middle of the showroom. All we want to do is leave now as fast as possible. To further my embarrassment, we can't leave! The general manager has our keys from when they were looking at our trade in. My significant other asks for his keys and Johnnan Johnson says to him "Come with me to the general managers desk and we will get them" then heatedly says to me "you can stay here we don't need you." On top of the horrible embarrassment and being talked down to, the key thing was just a ploy to be able to hold his keys as a bounty while they continue to try to convince my significant other to buy their car. I never in my life have been so embarrassed and felt so talked down to, especially in a retail/customer service situation. Johnnan Johnson’s eagerness to publically and irately blame me for the fact that he couldn’t work out a deal, after hours of haggling, was appalling. On the ride home we both felt totally exhausted and couldn’t believe the experience. It’s for that reason I would not recommend Lindsay Chevrolet and I most definitely would not recommend Johnnan Johnson. More
Brought my Jag there for repair work after i was side swiped. They somehow during the course of fixing my car scratched up the bumper and told me that I brought it in that way! I had just washed my car swiped. They somehow during the course of fixing my car scratched up the bumper and told me that I brought it in that way! I had just washed my car and there were NO scratches on the bumper. They had called me and told me that while they were fixing the side swipe issue that they noticed this and that it would look different when I picked it up. Well heck ya it looked different.... had a bunch of scratches to the paint job!!! Of course they won't take ownership of it. Lying crap heads! I will bad mouth them all over town! Liars! Mark Shipano leads the list! Then the manager! More
I worked with Chris Coleman. He was extremely helpful, personable, and gave me a great deal. I'll choose Lindsay Chevrolet over every other Chevrolet dealership in the area. Talked with both gentlemen by email and phone for two days regarding the trade of my truck and purchase of a used truck in their inventory. Drove from Lynchburg to Woodbridge on a Saturday and talked wit days regarding the trade of my truck and purchase of a used truck in their inventory. Drove from Lynchburg to Woodbridge on a Saturday and talked with the manager, Coslyn during my drive up. Informed him of when I would arrive. Showed up at the dealership when I told them I would, only to be told they sold the truck an hour ago! Thanks guys. I drove 3.5 hours for the scenery. They were "sorry" and offered to fill my gas tank. Would not recommend this dealership if you're not local. They can't seem to figure out simple things like putting a hold on a vehicle for an out of town customer. I was angry it was all I could do to not do something stupid I would regret later. More
Chris was very helpful and hid nothing on the car. He immediately let me take it on the test drive and made sure everything was tested on the car before returning to the dealership. I checked the cv's an immediately let me take it on the test drive and made sure everything was tested on the car before returning to the dealership. I checked the cv's and the trans due to the awd to make sure there was no slip or binding and he was happy to let me check. He hid nothing on the price and was willing to work with me. Definitely recommend them and chris especially. More
I bought a car here that was a trade in. After two weeks having the car the rear wheels locked up while I was on the highway. This could have been a terrible accident if circumstances were different. After having the car the rear wheels locked up while I was on the highway. This could have been a terrible accident if circumstances were different. After a shop looked at the car, whoever traded it in did a very poor job of working on it and there was no fluid in various parts of the car and the transfer case literally melted on itself. Bolts were missing, things were loose. They literally sold me a car that they didn't BOTHER inspecting. When I was on the tow truck and called them roughly 18 days after purchasing the car they said "Sorry, talk to mitusbishi". The sales person "Jannie" told me I had a factory warranty. After taking it to Mitsubishi they told me it was voided. This place took my used car and sold me one that had damage done that was very easy to find out given inspection. The sales person literally lied about the warranty. I would NEVER do business here. More
Went to Lindsay to consider buying two new cars. A Volt and a Tahoe. It was a Friday afternoon and the dealership was not busy with customers. We received a flyer in the mail for a promotion on trade in and a Tahoe. It was a Friday afternoon and the dealership was not busy with customers. We received a flyer in the mail for a promotion on trade in vehicles. The promotion flyer worked because it got us in the door. I was not expecting them to pay me 100% of what my vehicle was purchased at but what i was expecting was them to show me cars, discuss the promotion, and see if we could do business. After 10 minutes the sales rep refused to let us talk to a manager and the same old game of back and forth between sales rep and manager started. Finally, my wife and I went over to the manager and was told he didn't have time to talk to us. We left. On way home I called Paul Smyth the GM to complain about my experience. Good news, he called me back. Bad news... he yelled at me the entire time and accused me of being a bad customer. I was shocked and still can't believe that in the competitive car buying business there is any room for a GM to act like that. I went to another Chevy dealer a week later and was told that they receive many customers FROM Lindsay Cheverolet because of Paul Smyth and the poor attitude of the staff. I would not buy a used lawn mower from any Lindsay dealership so long as Paul Smyth is employed with the organization. More
Everything went as planned as they said it would. Price was right. I will return in the future for additional vehicles. Lindsay Chevrolet is close in proximity to my business which is a bonus.
