Everyone has heard of the "slick, fast-talking, high-pressure, snarky" car salesman stereotype, and I had been rather fortunate that my dealings with car dealerships had been free from such an expe high-pressure, snarky" car salesman stereotype, and I had been rather fortunate that my dealings with car dealerships had been free from such an experience. Until now. (Guess the streak had to end sometime.) From the moment we stepped onto the lot until the time we left, it was high-pressure, distractions, and smoke-and-mirrors. We were not allowed to drive the car off of the lot at the beginning of the test drive, which was bizarre (this was the only car dealership we visited that allowed this). The sales person turned on the radio during the test drive, so as to distract us from listening to how the engine and transmission ran, and if the brakes made noise, among other things. Rolph E. Anderson of Drexel University's LeBow College of Business once wrote that "For many consumers, negotiating for a used car with a salesperson they don't trust is even more traumatic than buying a new car." He stated that one way for car dealerships to regain consumer confidence is "...by providing detailed information..." When we requested copies of forms we could study in making our decision to purchase the vehicle we test-drove, we were not allowed to read any fine-print - in fact, we were REPEATEDLY pressured to make a decision on-the-spot, without opportunities to research first. No sleeping on it; no going home to talk with your family about how this major purchase will affect your life. We had to buy, and buy RIGHT NOW. High-pressure sales tactics aren't illegal, but they are immoral and unethical. If the representatives of a dealership are going to be unethical with you from the get-go, how are they going to treat you once you purchase the potential lemon they are offering you? Is the sales person more interested in the incentives he will receive from getting you to buy a vehicle, than he is in your ultimate well-being and in creating a big-picture, long-term, mutually beneficial business relationship? We ended up buying a similar vehicle with cash elsewhere that was a newer model, in better condition and with lower mileage for a much better price; and best of all, with laid-back, honest, up-front sales people who were willing to answer our questions, and let us read the "fine print." Our reason for purchasing a vehicle was because of a total loss of our old vehicle due to a rather traumatic accident where I was hit and the vehicle flipped over. I got it that this dealership was interested in my business; but I was less convinced that they were interested in ensuring customer service after the sale by being so freaking pushy. I have enough stress from the accident, that I didn't need more by being coaxed into a high-pressure sale. The only impression I received after such a high-scripted, high-pressured sales nightmare was that whatever they advised was not going to be in my best interest, nor in the best interest of my family. Caveat emptor. More
I had been dealing with Kelvin Mitchell for a few months. I wasn't sure if i wanted to actually buy or not. Kelvin kept in contact with me just to see how i was doing and if i was ready to make that purchase I wasn't sure if i wanted to actually buy or not. Kelvin kept in contact with me just to see how i was doing and if i was ready to make that purchase. That really meant a lot because I felt as though he actually cared about my happiness. When the perfect opportunity hit he contacted me and i really appreciated him looking out for my best interest. I would recommend this dealership to others and especially Kelvin to represent them! He's awesome!!! More
I came into the dealership with a very specific budget and they got me the SUV that I wanted in the budget I set. Overall my experience with Darryl and Keith was the best I have had in a dealership!! Whil and they got me the SUV that I wanted in the budget I set. Overall my experience with Darryl and Keith was the best I have had in a dealership!! While the dealership is a bit far from where I live, I still plan on going there for any service work. Hopefully my first service experience will be as good as this sales one!! I visited this dealership two weeks after my daughter purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic from them. They were so great with her and gave such a great deal, I gave them a try even though I really hadn't tho purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic from them. They were so great with her and gave such a great deal, I gave them a try even though I really hadn't thought about getting a new vehicle. The Lindsay Chevrolet team of Alvin Bryant, Keith and Mohammad is an awesome combination. They worked hard to make sure I had a vehicle I was completely satisfied with and that I had financing I could live with. More

Oh where to begin......First they didn't get application so it was resubmitted...still didn't get it...resubmitted....then I was told that they had it and combined it with mine and that car was application so it was resubmitted...still didn't get it...resubmitted....then I was told that they had it and combined it with mine and that car was on the back of the lot and Kelvin had the key......I have bought several vehicles online and if a deal is pending - the car is not sold.....so I'm told they are putting all the information together and I tell sales rep that I was at work and when I got home I was purchasing my airline tickets and I would call him and let him know when we would be there because he told me that I was pre-approved.......Next day...I get a phone call and they tell me that they still don't have application and now the car has been sold. I do not recommend this dealership is you live very far away and have to fly in.....they will NOT hold a car that you are wanting to buy....Not to mention now they try to sell me one that is $5000 higher than the one I had originally picked out. Also, they will not reimburse me for my airline ticket that is wasted because it is non-refundable....And one last thing-No matter how upset I got, they would not let me speak to the "man" in charge....he was always too busy.....I will find my dream car and will purchase it however it will not be from Lindsay Chevrolet nor do I recommend them. I am not a happy customer at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More

We needed a second car for my wife, who is starting a legal business. We visited Lindsay Chevrolet in Woodbridge and were met by Josh. Now, I have dealt with salesmen before and never, ever had experienc legal business. We visited Lindsay Chevrolet in Woodbridge and were met by Josh. Now, I have dealt with salesmen before and never, ever had experienced such a wonderful, pleasant, courteous, funny and knowledgeable person like him. He went throughout and back again over the 2013 Equinox we were trying to buy. He explained every detail about it, and made the 3+ hours we spent there feel very pleasant. It's a definite win! If I ever had to say anything "negative", as a constructive criticism, is the fact that the price on the internet was not the same we paid, because we didn't qualify for all of the rebates that brought the final price to the $24,000 they were advertising the SUV for, but other than that little detail, the rest was just pure awesomeness from these guys. Also I want to give special kudos to Mohammad, who guided us through the financing and even gave up to one of our little "caprices". --Victor Rexach More
let me start off by saying my salesman Vincent Cumberbatch, was an outstanding salesman. he deserves a big Kudos and a pat on the back for not telling Mr. Johnson off, I know I would have and want Cumberbatch, was an outstanding salesman. he deserves a big Kudos and a pat on the back for not telling Mr. Johnson off, I know I would have and wanted too. lets start with the Truck inspection.1st when looking at the truck the body shop employees were there taking pictures of the damage to the passenger side bed of the 2008 dodge Ram I purchased. they said they were supposed to fix the damage, because of this I kept looking at the truck. then I speak to Vincent about the price and test drove it and said that I would like the alignment checked, he said no problem. so we started the process and that's when it started going downhill. that is when Mr. Johnson came in the picture. Mr. Johnson had the worst customer relations I have ever seen and frankly he needs some HR classes before I would allow him on the sales floor, but instead he is in charge of sales. after wasting my whole day to where it is too late for me to go to another dealership he decides to finally start giving some hard numbers that I can agree too. so I say yes to the amounts agreed upon under the condition that the bedside gets fixed and the alignment gets done. he said no way he didn't even know there was any damage to the bedside. he then proceeds to yell at Vincent for not telling him about the damage to the bedside earlier, well me and Vincent looked at each other after he rudely walked away and I asked Vincent where Mr. Johnson was 8 hours ago when Vincent did in fact explain the damage and alignment to him. long story short I had to agree to take the truck as is and now I am stuck with over $2,000.00 in repairs. then to add insult to injury I didn't even get a full tank of gas with the purchase of the vehicle. That is the first time I have ever bought a vehicle from a dealership (new or used) that did not at least come with a full tank of gas. they did at least tell me that I get a free oil change, however it will be a cold day in xxxx before I return to this stealership again. and I will not tell one person to go there unless they just like getting screwed over and abused. like I said Vincent was outstanding. We were in the market for a 2013 or 2014 Chevy Cruze. After some internet research we ended up back at Lindsay Chevrolet (We are return customers).
