James Irvine provided us with excellent service and he spent many hours with us over several days answering our questions. The "no pressure" adage actually applied to our purchase experience. We compared pricing and packages with other Lexus dealers and Thousand Oaks Lexus matched all other offers. We thought we might get a slightly better offer at another dealer when we received a late email update, so we left Thousand Oaks Lexus to discuss the terms at another dealer. When we left T.O. Lexus there was NO PRESSURE to stay and close the deal. We shared the details of the other offer with the sales manager at T.O. Lexus before leaving and he told us "That's an excellent offer. I can't match that. If you can actually get that offer, you should take it." It turned out that the other offer was not as stated, and we called back to T.O. Lexus to let them know we would take their offer. They pulled the vehicle off of the sales lot and held it for us until we arrived three hours later to close the deal. Their assistance with our purchase was invaluable, as they provided us with multiple scenarios for the sale and price points accordingly. When the deal was almost finalized, they also applied a significant veteran's discount for military service that we did not anticipate. Overall the experience was outstanding and we left the dealership knowing that we made a fully informed purchase at a price point that was very reasonable. After purchasing the vehicle we had two tutorials with Julie Kobayashi to learn the many features included. Julie knows the Lexus product line very well and she explained the multiple electronic and technical features of the vehicle. She went in depth in several aspects of the vehicle and the services provided with it, and she also answered all our questions. Lexus provides multiple services to vehicle owners, and Julie explained all of these to us. The customer follow up and education on the features of the vehicle have made our ownership experience enjoyable and has improved our knowledge of vehicle safety, performance, and services.
