The sales man was great and all of the support staff go above and beyond to make sure the customer is very happy. The service manager even programed my wife's cell phone and all her contacts for her. We are inexperienced in buying used cars in this manner, as we have most often ordered new vehicles from GM, or more recently, asking a dealer friend to find us one at a car auction. From the moment we walked into the dealership, we could tell it was high class and customer-oriented, not simply sales-oriented as many are. Kris took the time we needed to evaluate and test-drive the pre-owned vehicles we inquired about, and brought in the sales manager at the appropriate time. Neither of them tried to pressure us into a purchase that would have been less than satisfactory, but did make offers for vehicles on hand that were closest to our desires, and suggested the very logical option of purchasing a new model exactly as we wanted. Kris and Willy continued to look to place us into the car we were looking for. When it became available a few weeks later, it was the right vehicle for us, and was not lacking in any of our expectations. It still needed detailing and repair of a couple interior and exterior ailments, and they were willing to take care of them before we picked it up the next weekend, at our request. When we came to pick it up, it was cleaned and prepared as promised. We are looking forward to a long-lasting relationship with this quality-made vehicle and a high-quality dealership. More
My experience purchasing my 2005 Honda CR-V from Jim Lebo was a good one. My opinion of the dealership changed greatly when it came to receiving my title. It's going on 32 days and I still have not received it. We receive the runaround when calling on it. The calls placed have not been promptly returned. After being told the title was at the DMV, we called the Indiana DMV to find they have no record of this in the system. I am very saddened that my good car buying experience has gone horribly wrong. The delay in my title caused me to lose a very good financing rate from my bank. I am even more upset by the horrible service I've received from Lexus regarding the issue. Jim Lebo has been good about contacting me in regards to a missing spare tire key that was never recovered. His responses to that matter were much appreciated, even though the end result was a busted tire bolt and purchase of new tires. More

Sue was great to work with and was very helpful when my car wasn't ready do to unexpected mechanical issue. Sometimes you can't avoid unforseen problems popping up. I have been teaching at a large Midwestern university for the past 12 years. One of the courses I teach is “The Psychology of Consumer Behavior” and I have a fair amount of research and professional experience in this area. Consequently, I have become familiar with the personal characteristics that are predictive of having a strong customer service orientation; traits which in turn, substantially contribute to the experience of customer satisfaction. I came to Lexus of Merrillville to purchase a RX 350 as a Christmas present for my wife, and I must say that the guys at Lexus, and especially Mr. Lebo, exceeded my expectations. Mr. Lebo was of tremendous assistance in providing me with important information, guidance, and support throughout the pre- and post-purchase product acquisition phases of the RX 350. Throughout our multiple interactions, I feel I have become reasonably familiar with Jim’s character and work ethic. Jim’s pattern of demonstrated customer service behaviors includes being exceptionally responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable of Lexus products, and his interpersonal/relational skills made me feel comfortable throughout the entire purchase process. He displayed excellent communication skills, and was forthcoming and conscientious in his customer interactions. He reliably addressed all questions and concerns I had and was extremely responsive in his communication patterns and providing updates along the way. Most of all, I appreciated Jim’s “down-to-earth” character, humor, and given the car was a Christmas present for my wife, his sensitivity and attentiveness to maintaining the “top secret” nature of the purchase! Jim’s efforts and diligence contributed to making this one of our most memorable holiday celebrations ever, and quite literally, “with a bow on top!” The preceding combination of characteristics represents the highest level of customer service I have experienced in some time. Jim is an exceptionally capable person, who in my estimation represents an invaluable asset to Lexus of Merrillville. In closing, I would like to say that while it was the exceptional product quality that initially attracted me to Lexus products, Jim Lebo will keep me coming back, and I will not hesitate to recommend Lexus of Merrillville to my friends and family members.
