Put a $1K deposit back in July for an NX350h. Insisted that he confirm in writing that the deposit was refundable, which he did. Fast forward early November. Vlad said I had to stop by to have my cc swiped. I stopped by on a Saturday and he then claimed the system had just changed and they didn't need to swipe my credit card. Ok, they promised to post the refund on Monday. Of course nothing happened. Called a week later and they promised to get back to me by end of day which they did not. Overall experience was poor. My car buying experience was the absolute worst with this purchase! This is the first time I've purchased a used vehicle in a long time but this expe My car buying experience was the absolute worst with this purchase! This is the first time I've purchased a used vehicle in a long time but this experience has lessened my desire to ever do so again! While the bad experience originated with the used car sales dept., their lack of integrity and transparency, my encounter with the service dept. just made my experience worse! Literally every step of the process was painfully frustrating and much LESS than what I would expect from what I viewed as a reputable luxury car dealership! What I experienced is something I would expect from a "Joe's Used Auto" type shop. The dealership lacked integrity from the start and this resulted in me purchasing a vehicle with known substantial issues. I only learned of power train related codes that were retrieved after I brought the vehicle back after having it for a few days! I don't blame the Service Department for the initial issue but I do believe they could have handled the challenging situation much differently with professionalism and empathy and thereby improve my overall experience and regain my confidence in the dealership. It was clear from day one that "it was not their problem! In fact, I was repeatedly told "you bought this car as is" from the Service Director, Anthony Landi, when he clearly understood that the repairs were nearly $8000! His lack of poise and professionalism, coupled with Lori's lack of consistent follow-up, made this the worst car buying experience ever! Thankfully I purchased the extended warranty! I will say that after the dealership agreed to pay the deductible, I did have a better experience with Mr. Landi and he is probably a nice guy but I feel that he missed an opportunity to display, again, patience and empathy, for a very unfortunate situation but he was clearly tired of dealing with the issue so he converses with me poorly! I was highly disappointed and am very hopeful that he learns from this situation! More
