I have a GREAT mechanic who does my work on my side of town for much less than Joyce Koons Honda and he does a fine job, so I told them not to replace it. anyway...as I was collecting parts to do some of the work on the list myself it occurred to me that I hadn't had the battery that long. I looked at it. It has stickers on it - 2 different kinds of stickers - with the installation date. That date was 7/25/16. Was the mechanic negligent in looking at these stickers? Was s/he new? The date I was at Joyce Koons Honda being told I needed to replace it for the full-price of $193 was 7/24/19. This was THE LAST DAY of the 36 month free-replacement according to what I was told by 3 different Honda America Reps. Oh, but wait! The 100 month warranty is based on what car you own! The 36 month free replacement is actually a 24 month free replacement on my car (according to the 4th Honda America rep) and in fact the 100 month warranty is a 60 month warranty on my car. So, THE HONDA 100 MONTH WARRANTY IS A JOKE, or more like a LIE! The Joyce Koons service manager also said my free replacement warranty was 24 months. Oh wait, again! My HONDA BATTERY that was purchased at JOYCE KOONS HONDA by my mechanic to put in my car can only be returned by HIM, not me, even though I have his receipt with the same date on it that the battery has on it. And worse, JOYCE KOONS HONDA DIDN'T EVEN MENTION THE POSSIBILITY OF A WARRANTY! My battery would STILL qualify for the prorated warranty price, crummy as it is and deceptive as it is to do this because the battery warranty itself says it's a free replacement at 36 months. (This is a class-action suit looking for a law firm to notice it!) If I had been told of the warranty on the day of the service, I could have gotten my mechanic to return the battery a month sooner, saving at least a little more of the prorated price. Here's the big question: did Joyce Koons Honda "forget" to mention that I might save some money by using my warranty, or did they look at me and think, "she probably doesn't know and won't notice"? And when I went back to talk to them about the free replacement lie, they still didn't mention the pro-rated replacement price. I left and called Honda America yet again. At this point, they had told me 3 times that my free replacement was until 36 months. I called Joyce Koons Honda back and argued with the service manager, who then mentioned that there was a prorated price but only, again, to my mechanic who had purchased and installed the battery. That discussion was yesterday. I called Honda America today and this is when they told me the 100 day warranty defaults to the car you own and was really 24 months. the Service manager had told me that yesterday. My mechanic will change my battery next week. I will be getting a better battery for less than Joyce Koons Honda's price. I won't have another Honda battery in my car, nor will I use Honda parts if it can be avoided. That's my story on the battery problem. Here's more info just for fun: I also do minor work/filter replacements myself. (Joyce Koons Honda wanted $75.62 to replace the "Pollen/A/C Filter". I'm a female in my 60's. Bought a quality replacement on Amazon for $8.57 and changed it - after watching an online video - in about 3 minutes.) Honda online sells it for $16.24 if you like Honda parts. So the labor for the 3 minutes = probably more than $65 because Joyce Koons Honda probably doesn't pay retail for that part. Price of BG Power Steering Fluid Exchange $184.87, BG brake fluid flush $162.50, Engine air filter replacement $39.45 (I did that with a $9.47 filter - unscrew 4 screws, a little pushing and pulling, but maybe a 10 minute job), Air Filter Housing tube (Google that. It's not what it's called - try air intake hose.) $127.56 - 20 minute job for me but that was because I don't have the muscle I used to have, someone stronger could have done it in half the time. Front Wiper blades replacement $47 - not clear if that was for both or for one. We'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it's for 2. Serpentine belt replacement $166.94. Not what Honda calls it as far as I could see. I think I could do this, but it's a little scary if I mess it up. Looks pretty easy, though. The belt seems to be unavailable on Honda's online store for my car. There's one for another year model for $37.63 under the name "Belt, Power Steering Pump (Bando). Other options start at less than $10, but it is an important part. I'd definitely make sure to get one that's good quality. Anyway, I know Honda has overhead, but some of their services prices seem extremely over-inflated. It's also more than a little annoying that they try to name things in a way that it's hard or impossible to find it even in Honda's online store. I can only assume this is to force customers to use Joyce Koon Honda's Services. It isn't working on me. Again, I have a great mechanic whose prices are reasonable and who does a good job. Almost every single one of his reviews mention his honesty, too! I'll keep him. Joyce Koons Honda can do my recall work, but other than that, they won't be seeing my car. More

I cannot say the same about Catherine who tried to trick my wife into a high rate financing strategy without knowing that I would easily find out how many banks hit her credit since we have credit secure with American Express. Checking out those bank rates and asking them for a quote was easy. In brief we are going to refinance. She is lucky that I don’t want to take it to the next level for misleading, and predatory tactics. More

After what we decided to buy, our salesman had the Financial Manager speak with us. Next papers were filled out. It was the fastest ever that we have ever bought a car. Jordan J. was very calm, explained the details of the car and process in an easily understandable way and did not make myself or my father feel pressured at all. I came in knowing the car I wanted, got to test drive it, include the necessary add on features, and finalized the sale. Christine in the finance department was also amazing. She took her time explaining and even ranking the added warranties and maintenance features that would apply to my needs rather than trying to continuously up sell as I have experienced in other car dealerships. It was a smooth process, only prolonged by my bank. Within a little over an hour the paperwork was being compiled and sent to my financial institution. Financing at the dealership is available and if selected actually gives good interest rates. I look forward to making the 45 minute drive to this dealership again for the quality of care and attentive customer service when it is time to purchase another car. My experience was very relaxed and seamless. You have a dynamic duo on your team. They deserve a bonus. More
