Could not repair Bought a new 2017 Acura MDX. Has a feature called idle engine stop. Engine stops running when you stop at a light/stop sign/ heavy traffic etc. It did Bought a new 2017 Acura MDX. Has a feature called idle engine stop. Engine stops running when you stop at a light/stop sign/ heavy traffic etc. It did not work. Took to dealer on three separate occasions. They would say nothing was wrong with it, it was my driving, battery temperature, weather etc. Even though they said they did nothing because nothing was wrong with it, it always worked when I picked up my vehicle. Would work fine until the first time I shut the engine off. Then it would quit working. On my last visit they gave me a list of 20-30 conditions in which the system would not work. I read them and commented to the service manager "looks like a list of excuses", he said "yep". Just crappy service. Sold the car with 2000 miles on it. Bought another brand, model with the same feature. Works fine all the time. More

The Worlds Most Amazing Salesman We came to John Eagle Acura after a long night out and had been at several dealerships that day and almost bought a car before we arrived. But then we stumbled across the most amazing salesman we have ever met . He showed us an 2016 ILX for my daughter and it was actually in the service area and it was not ready to be sold, But he assured us that it was going to be certified and would exceed our expectations when it was completed and we trusted him and it did. And then five months later I came back and purchase another 2017 ILX just because of the great service we received. I was so happy with both of the purchases that recently I brought my dad to purchase a used vehicle as well from Pete Sanchez and to us he is truly amazing, Pete is now like family and no matter if it is a friend or relative we will make sure we send them to him, If you are looking to buy a car he is your man and believe me he will make sure your are very happy. Recent Experience About 2 weeks ago, I was rear ended in an accident. After the other person’s insurance agreed to reimburse me, I looked for a car. I did my research a About 2 weeks ago, I was rear ended in an accident. After the other person’s insurance agreed to reimburse me, I looked for a car. I did my research and read online reviews. I purchased my car at John Eagle Acura in Katy, because they had good online reviews and their salesperson, Ty Thompson, seemed honest. I purchased my car on 1/17. After I took the car home, my cousin pointed out that there was a deep crack on the front, passenger side window. I told her that when I test drove the car, it was very dirty. For this reason, I did not see the crack (the size of your hand) on the very top/edge of the passenger side window. I was confident that the dealership would fix the problem, since they seemed so nice when I met them, sent me follow-up thank you emails, and my purchase was recent. However, I was wrong. So if you are like me and you are reading reviews, please be very careful. They are very nice people, but after they sell you a car, they stop caring about you. I feel like all of their positive reviews online are based on the car itself (since Acura is a reliable brand) and not necessarily on the quality on the seller. If you feel (like I did) that buying a car from a dealership instead of a private seller will be safer, I strongly recommend that you purchase it from another dealer that will help you when you have issues. Update: - Received Google response from Asst. General Manager via Google. - Made appointment on 2/8, because the car had squeaks coming from the engine every time I would go over a bump. However, when I took it in, the bumps stopped. - Called Valerian on 2/11 and left a message. - Called Valerian again on 2/13 and left another message. - Valerian called me on 2/13. He sounded nice and asked me to visit to discuss. He said to him or Jesus Montes, the Service Manager. Jesus inspected the car and said that the scratch was was likely there before I purchased the car. However, he said that since the car was not new, there was little he could do. Plus, he said that it appears to be a deep scratch, so it should not get bigger so it was just a personal preference if I wanted to change it. - Today, 2/15, I was driving to work and I noticed that the squeaking noises from my engine on 2/8 had gotten worse. I immediately drove it to the dealership. They told me that they tightened the dashboard screws and something near the trunk, since it was causing the noise. - On 3/27, there were sounds coming from the driver side dash. It sounded like pebbles swishing back and forth. I took it to the dealership and they heard it too. They had no loaner cars available so I had to come back another day. - On 3/29, I left my car there. They gave me a loaner car, but it was a scary situation. I went out of town for Easter. The check tire pressure light came on. Discount Tire could not check the tires for nails, since the loaner car did not have the tire lock key so I had them place air in all the tires. I'm glad that it was just a lack of air or else I may not be here to type about this experience. - On 4/6, they called me today to tell me that my car was "fixed." I bought the car only 2-3 months, I already had 4 issues with it: (1) Front window glass has hand-size deep scratch/crack in it; (2) key battery goes out; (3) squeaking noises coming from the engine; and (4) flowing rock noise in dash. Lesson: Do not buy a car from John Eagle Acura – unless it has a manufacturer’s warranty still on it and you have tons of sick days, because you’ll have to take off of work to have your car repaired within the first month of owning it. I got lucky that my car has a manufacturer’s warranty and I own my own business. All this being said, I want to say thanks to Scott Sheley, a Service Consultant and Sam, the lead mechanic, since they have been helping me with all of the problems at this dealership. I regret my decision to purchase my car here. They won’t take any responsibility for not disclosing known defects. More
