Lies after lies Please excuse any typos or misspelling. Horrible experience. My brother and I are both in the market for a 2019 MDX, one for each. The discount incent Please excuse any typos or misspelling. Horrible experience. My brother and I are both in the market for a 2019 MDX, one for each. The discount incentives are great. However, not only did John Eagle used the typical bait and switch tactic, they made it seem like we were being unreasonable. No one except the salesman apologized. So what happened? When I called in for a quote, I spoke to Masha Baklashev; she introduced herself as Internet Sales Director, the person able make to deals. So I expressed the fact that I have had bad experiences shopping at other dealerships. So please let’s cut the back and forth, we are ready to buy, please give us your best offer. Of course she gives me the usual script, come in and we’ll beat anybody. I told her I didn’t want to waste any more time, give me a good deal, we will buy. We will not take your quote and shop else where. But she refused to give me a quote, even though she’s in internet sales. I thought internet sales makes internet deals? So my shopping continued and I called as far as Dallas/Fort Worth. DFW gave me a pretty solid offer that I was happy with, but they’re a 4 hours drive away. We honestly didn’t want to drive that far. So I texted Masha and again, expressed that I don’t like back and forth, you didn’t help me when I first called, but since you’re local, I figured I’ll give you an opportunity to beat DFW’s offer. I told her the numbers. Without hesitation she said she will beat their offer and all this good stuff, just come in! So we asked her do you have the colors we want? She said yes, we will pull it and have it ready when you arrive. So my brother and I said we will leave work early to come by. Please keep in mind I have the whole conversation in texts. When we get there, they DID NOT have the colors, strike one - the first lie. But if we buy 2020, they have plenty in stock (of course for more money). The salesman realized we were getting upset, so he told us if we really want that color for 2019, he can check to see if they can bring it in from other places (but Masha said they have the car and will pull it so it’ll be ready for us). So I told him before you do that, let’s talk numbers, because we’re afraid Masha lied about that too. When I showed him her texts with the numbers, his reaction was wow I can’t do that, but let me talk to my manager. We waited for over a hour. Which I don’t understand what could take so long when Masha already made a deal. The salesman finally comes back and gives us an offer that is no where close to the deal that was initially made, strike two - the second lie. I demanded to meet and speak to Masha. He replied, she’s in the back office, but I can make you a deal, just talk to me. So we made it clear, we just want the deal Masha made, we don’t understand why we’re wasting time doing it all over again. The salesman went back and forth into the back office to negotiate a deal but always came back short. By this time, I was disgusting and did not want to deal with them anymore. As we were getting ready to leave, Leonta Matthews approaches us, introduced himself as the GSM, General Sales Manager, and asked us what needs to be done to make a deal. My brother repeated, “we just want John Eagle to honor their word and give us the deal that was offered, you wasted our time”. Without another word, Leonta said and I quote “you’re not getting that deal and no, YOU wasted YOUR time for coming here” and walked away. Can you believe a GSM would treat and talk to a customer like that? Completely uncalled for and absolutely rude. We have text messages and audio recording. I wonder if anyone at John Eagle would step up to correct these type of actions from their staff: bait and switch, lies, and horrible customer services. So be very careful ladies and gents, they will make false promises just to get you in the door. I don’t understand why though, a person in their right state of mind would be upset once they realized they were lied to. Horrible sales tactics = horrible experience for customers. And by the way, hire a new GSM More
The Staff at John Eagle LIE John Eagle Acura has some of the worst people in management. They will LIE and say whatever it takes you get you to come into the dealership and wast John Eagle Acura has some of the worst people in management. They will LIE and say whatever it takes you get you to come into the dealership and waste your time. I've purchased many vehicles in my life. I am a busy person, so my last 3 purchases were done online. I make a deal online and came in to sign paperwork. Easy right? Not at John Eagle Acura. I am from the Houston area. I received a competitive quote from the Dallas area. I wanted to see if anyone closer to home would be able to match it. My brother and I wanted to purchase two 2019 Acura MDXs. He found an Internet Director, Masha Baklashev, at John Eagle who said she would beat the price. She even said they had the colors we wanted. When can we come in? We asked her for quote so we can make sure there are no hidden fees, then we will come in and sign to the agreed price. She would not provide one and said we might use it to get lower prices at other dealerships. Fair enough. We had to leave work early to come in. Masha said she was busy with a customer and would have another sales person assist us. We finally arrive at the dealership. Here are where the lies become apparent. Mike was the sales associate who assisted us. He pulled up 2 MDXs. They were not our colors. They did not have it, but he said they could get it from else where. OK fine. No biggie. But why did Masha lie and say you had them and were pulling them up for us right now? Next, he started writing down numbers. He even added on Luxury Shield, which is a protection plan for various things. I told him we don't want the protection. Give us the price Masha agreed to beat. A lot of back and forth, it just could not be done. Our time was clearly being wasted. I asked for a General Manager. A gentleman walks up to us. His name is Leonta Mathews and he introduces himself as the GSM. I asked what is a GSM? He said General Sales Manager. I said ok. He asked what can we do to make a deal? I said to give us the deal that Masha promised, we are not budging. With us refusing to budge, he quickly said you wasted your time and he walked away. How rude. I was livid. After he walked away, I looked him up on the John Eagle Acura website. Turns out he lied as well. He was not the General Sales Manager. He lied to our faces. Just wow. We asked to speak to Masha. Masha said she would be around until 8pm (another lie). It was only 6pm and Mike told us she left for the day. We never got to meet Masha. We left the dealership. Then someone by the name of Moussa calls me while I am driving. He claimed to be the GSM as well. I looked it up to confirm. He still couldn't give us the deal Masha promised. I said it's ok. You just wasted our time. At John Eagle Acura, gone are the days of honest negotiations. They will lie and do whatever it takes to get you to come in. Once there, they will lie to your face and try to get you to pay more than what was promised. They will even force you to buy protection packages (Luxury Shield) that are 'included on all new cars'. I have screenshots of all conversations on my phone. You can't make this stuff up. More
