Disappointing Experience with Honda of Valley Stream I recently had a repair done at Honda of Valley Stream on my 1995 Honda Accord, where they installed a used part purchased from eBay. While I was informed beforehand that they wouldn't be responsible for the part's functionality since it's not a new Honda or aftermarket part, I wasn't told that I'd have to pay extra to remove the part if it didn't work. Unfortunately, the part turned out to be defective, and the dealer is now charging me again to remove it and reinstall the original part, an additional $427.44. I find this unacceptable, especially since they're aware of the part's condition and should take responsibility for correcting the issue. The lack of transparency about the potential additional costs and the dealer's unwillingness to make things right without extra charges are disappointing. As a customer, I expect honesty and fairness in the repair process. To improve, Honda of Valley Stream should consider providing clearer disclosure about potential additional costs and taking responsibility for correcting issues related to repairs, even if the part is used. Rating: 1 Recommendation: Be cautious when using this dealer, especially if you're purchasing used parts. Make sure to ask about all potential costs and consequences beforehand. More
