Everyone can agree that when fulfilling a request to Install a customer supplied used part has its risks. Precisely why we make the customer aware of the possible outcome. Removing the faulty customer supplied used part and reinstalling the original bad part just so you can go return it for a refund should not be at the dealer's expense.

I understand that installing a customer-supplied used part carries risks, and I acknowledge that Service Advisor Alex Marcel did an excellent job informing me of these risks beforehand. I commend him for his transparency and professionalism. However, I still believe that the dealer should take some responsibility for correcting the issue, especially since I was not informed about the potential additional costs. I asked Alex who I should contact to resolve this issue, and he recommended that I reach out to management. I did so, but unfortunately, management declined to take responsibility. Moreover, this issue goes beyond just a refund; safety is a far greater concern. Installing a faulty used part can pose a significant risk to people's lives, and I believe it's the dealer's responsibility to ensure that the repairs they make are safe and reliable. By not taking responsibility for correcting the issue, the dealer is essentially prioritizing their own interests over customer safety. I'd appreciate it if we could find a mutually acceptable solution. I'm not trying to take advantage of the dealer, but rather seeking a fair and safe resolution to this issue. Can we discuss possible options for moving forward?
