I am another victim of the oil change program scam. When John Eagle promoted this, it clearly stated available service at any Lithia owned store; meaning Lithia was part of the sales incentive. I would like to know how Lithia and Clear Lake Honda decided on July 28, 2022 they could legally breech all of these contracts. I was a long time customer but will no longer do business with either company. More
I also purchased the lifetime oil subscription from Honda of Clear Lake. They will no longer honor their commitment to provide lifetime oil changes for my 2004 Honda Accord. I will never do business with t of Clear Lake. They will no longer honor their commitment to provide lifetime oil changes for my 2004 Honda Accord. I will never do business with them again, and I will also discourage everyone that I know from doing business with Honda of Clear Lake. More
Since Lithia took over this dealership, things are not the same. Oil changes can take up to two hours or more. And servicing your car for mechanical issues becomes a big guess when they can complete it the same. Oil changes can take up to two hours or more. And servicing your car for mechanical issues becomes a big guess when they can complete it on a reasonable time schedule. Case and point is that I had a factory recall on my 2017 Pilot. The letter said to give 2 – 3 hours to have this completed. I called for an appointment (none are given, just come and see what happens), the told me to come in early and it would take 2 hours. I arrived at 7:30 a.m. and when it was 10 am, I noticed my car was parked in the lot. When I went to service, they told me that it was NOT worked on and that it was next in line – hmmm, still in the lot? Terrible service here – all around. More
I found out two disturbing pieces of information today. First, I bought my 2018 Pilot in August of 2018, yet your system showed January of 2018 as the start date for my life time oil change package - seem First, I bought my 2018 Pilot in August of 2018, yet your system showed January of 2018 as the start date for my life time oil change package - seems dishonest to me. Secondly, it appears as though you have cancelled the life time oil change program with no communication to the Honda owners that purchased it. It seems your definition of life time is a bit different than what one would expect. Looks like it’s time to change car brands when I purchase again. Can stand deceptive behaviors or more importantly lack of up front open and honest communication. I under the dealership is under new ownership, but that is a lame excuse for treating your customers this way. More
I’m another one of the people who had their free oil service denied after buying my vehicle with this option. I’ve also brought my vehicle in for service in the past and found that they had not perform service denied after buying my vehicle with this option. I’ve also brought my vehicle in for service in the past and found that they had not perform the service. My example was a brake fluid change and it was obvious that the dust caps have never been removed from the rear calipers. I will never buy another Honda. More
They are not Honda corporate, but don’t tell you who owns them, even when asked. Dishonest since day 1. Sales techniques from the 1950 s they treat women as idiots. I only bought because I like the Honda O them, even when asked. Dishonest since day 1. Sales techniques from the 1950 s they treat women as idiots. I only bought because I like the Honda Odyssey. I bought all the extended warranties and oil changes. They said I could service anywhere. That is not true, you can only goto them. Now I learned my lifetime oil changes were cancelled without notice after I bought the car. Do I get my money back? No they referred me to another dealership John Eagle. They had no idea what I was talking about. Not worth a lawyer so I’m screwed. Honda Corporate said this is a franchise and they can’t honor any warranties as it was not with them. Worst purchase ever!!! Honda do not let people use hour name unless it is you. Prevent deception and this behavior as it is your name. More
If I could rate negative stars I would. My experience at this Honda was downright terrible. I went in on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 3:20 p.m. The Associate who checked me in explained that my car will be done right before closing. I was unsure of the time of closing, because the lady who helped check my car in seemed unorganized as she was shuffling through a stack of papers. After I checked in I told her I was going to wait in the lobby area until my car was finished. I also asked her to give me a call when it was finished and she agreed. While I was waiting in the lobby for my car I started to watch a movie. While I was watching the movie I wasn't paying attention to the time. By the time the movie ended the last customer before me left. After he left I thought my car should almost be done. But I waited an additional 30 minutes. It is now 6:30 p.m. I walked over to the service department counters to find all associates including the lady who checked my car in had left for the day. I looked out the window and noticed the service area where you drive your car up into doors was closed. Thankfully I was able to catch an associate in the service department before he left for the day. I asked where my car was and if it was done. He was confused. I explained I came in for an oil change at around 3:20 p.m. and was told I would receive a phone call when it is completed. The associate asked who checked my car in and I explained it was the lady across from his desk (Mr. Ted). He had to call her on the phone to figure out what was going on. Neither employees knew what was going on or where my car was. Thankfully my Husband was on his way home and it was on the way so he stopped and told me he was parked next to my car outside. I was confused and told the employee and he walked me outside to verify it was my car. When we got back inside the building I asked how long my car has been done and he explained around an hour because the service department closes around 5:30. This customer service is terrible. I waited an extra hour and the service department was practically closed. Another thing is the lobby is in-between the service department and sales department. If your employees notice a customer sitting in the same spot for hours regardless of what department they are in (and especially if one department is closed) isn't it good customer service to ask the customer if you could check on anything or need help with anything? The associates continued walking back and forth between departments and none stopped to ask. Terrible customer service. Negative stars. Please be extremely careful bringing your car here as the customer service is terrible. 3 hours for an oil change and the department with majority of employees gone. More
I went to order a power steering fluid reservoir for my Ridgeline and they quoted me $52.48. I went to the Honda Parts site, entered my VIN and this exact part I got for $25.04, this markup is ridiculous a Ridgeline and they quoted me $52.48. I went to the Honda Parts site, entered my VIN and this exact part I got for $25.04, this markup is ridiculous at this particular Dealer. They have always marked-up their parts(or try to) over 200% and their greed shows in their maintenance fees also. I live less than three miles from there and will NEVER let them service any of my three Hondas again More
