This is my 4th vehicle I have purchased with the help of Jimmy Eldean in sales, Jimmy has always made us feal very comfortable from beginning to end.The vehicle purchased was a 2022 tacoma which was was not part of the current inventory we were told the vehicle could be in within 2 to 3 weeks it did come in on time. Fantastic looking truck couldn't be more happier, also jimmy is very good in understanding of our needs working with us from choosing the right vehicle along with affordability . My overall experience was amazing at Toyota Herb Chambers of Auburn. Once we got an appointment over the phone everything else fell into place. I don’t trust the service department. For some reason James, a service manager, condescendingly told me my transmission could not be damaged or offset by the jolt of an accident. He even said that my doubt about his claim that their transmissions were basically indestructible was either because I wasn't listening to him or something worse. (seriously?!?). A quick Google search after that frustrating conversation with James shows an article from twincharlotte.com and others that the jolt of an accident (which in my case resulted in completely replacing two rims, tires, two axles and suspensions as well as damage to the bumper (which disconnected from the car due to the violence of that jolt)) states that “An accident can knock your transmission around and cause…trouble with shifting and your transmission may shift into wrong gears…. “ Why would he smugly say what he said? Any lay person can just find what seems obviously to be reasonable and, by the way, the opposite of James’ dubious claim that the jolt of a collision could not possibly cause transmission problems to my Camry. Problems that are exactly the same as the ones described in the article that took a non-mechanic about 5 minutes to find. I don’t trust these guys with anything more than a flat tire. More
