When I said I did not want to do a loan, he did not keep at me (as another dealership did). He did try to sell us a few products but was within reasonable limits as far as salesmanship was concerned. Not too pushy and citing evidence rather than opinion as to why something might be a good deal. We bought the rust resistant undercoating after checking with our car guy who told us he sees a lot of vehicles with chassis erosion due to winter road applications. We did not opt for the extended warranty despite Nate's willingness to come down on the price significantly. This was a completely different experience than the purchase of our last new vehicle in 2005. I was impressed that there was none of the offensive stuff. As for my Hyundai Sonata - so far I love it. It is spacious, pretty, quick to respond, and a very nice ride for a very good price. More

First Car Buyer...Definitely Won't be My Last! I always went vehicle shopping as a kid with my mom and dad. What I gathered was that car shopping was a hassle and it was a day full of arguing for a I always went vehicle shopping as a kid with my mom and dad. What I gathered was that car shopping was a hassle and it was a day full of arguing for a reasonable price on a vehicle. So, I wasn't excited at all to go shopping for my first car. When we arrived to Darlings it was busy and for a moment I thought I would have to wait hours just to see someone. This was not the case. Paul Watson greeted me with a firm handshake and took me in immediately and worked with me. He was quick about gathering information and relaying it back to me. He listened to all my concerns an "requirements" for a vehicle. We spent all day getting me into a vehicle (I was slow on my end getting things together) and he even stayed 2 hours after he was scheduled just to make sure I left happy. When we finally found the perfect vehicle and ran numbers, I was saddened that I could not afford it. It wasn't anything Paul couldn't handle though. He was able to lower the price so that it was in an affordable range for me. Because of him I was able to get into a vehicle I never thought in a million years I would ever get into, and I left worry free knowing I would be able to make the payments. When we first started business he told me that he is not about "having a one time customer." Rather, he is about "having a lifetime customer," and let me tell you, it definitely shows. I will definitely be returning in the future to Darling's and requesting that my business be conducted with Paul Watson. I recommend anyone to see him, whether it be your first time buying a car or your millionth time. He is the best in the business. More
