She introdu This is a review of my SELLING experience to Carvana. I listed my car on Craigslist and was approached by an outsider buyer named Jan. She introduced me to Carvana, which I never heard of before, and it's process. She was very helpful and walked me through the process. The first deciding factor for selling to them was that they offered me the best price (vs. CarMax, Auto Nation, Trur Car). Then I realized the process was super streamlined. All I had to do was upload my documents and, after approval, schedule an appointment for the pickup of my car. Carvana sent a truck to COME TO ME to pick up the car. The driver (Lauren?) was very courteous and pleasant to work with, too. The pickup process, which included a one-mile test drive, took no longer than 20-30 minutes. Immediately after loading my car to their truck, I was handed the check, which I immediately deposited without any issues. My selling experience from being contacted by buyer to getting the check took just 10 days! (Would've been even faster if I was more timely with uploading my docs.) I'd highly recommend Carvana for selling your cars! More

I am hesitant to recommend Carvana to anyone else until these communications and IT default issues are corrected. 1) I requested a three year loan. Twice, the purchase agreement had to be changed and resigned based on issues at the seller end. Both times, the new agreement defaulted back to a six year loan. The reps did not catch it, and had I not been careful, the change would not have been caught. 2) I initially worked with a rep and signed my agreement, and set up a delivery date. Two days later I noticed an email that said the agreement was not signed (Carvana had made a change without my knowledge) and I had 24 hours to sign again or the car would be re-listed. Glad I saw the email. The new agreement had the problem #1 above. I had to have the rep change the agreement, go in, re-sign, and set up a new delivery date because the last one was no longer valid. Some inconvenience. 3) A few days before the delivery, I got another email reminding me of what had to be ready at delivery. I re-checked my agreement on line and found it had again been changed without my knowledge, and without communication I believe, and had to be re-accomplished. Glad I figured that out. The new agreement had the issue #1 above. Glad I found that. 4) When initially discussing additional warranty options, I was offered primary (?) coverage to 60000 miles. I accepted that, but later, on my own, discovered that it was only good for 36 months of purchase. In my case, the car already has another 13000 miles of manufacturers warranty left, and given how much it will be driven, that would only provide a year extra. Not worth it to me, so I removed it. Make sure the reps discuss both mileage AND length of warranty to customers. 5) The car came without a users manual. When I inquired about that, I was provided with a link to an online manual that apparently cannot be downloaded or printed (?). I was offered a reimbursement from Carvana for the cost of ordering a paper manual. More

Sold my beautiful 2015 Subaru Outback. It was a breeze ! Out of the blue I was contacted by a woman from Carvana on a Sunday when I actually had time to communicate. She and all of the subsequent reps who sent me information as I needed or requested it were professional and thorough. I was able to research the company online and was impressed with the entire concept of online selling and car buying and the ease with which I was able to find background information. Once I agreed to the offer I was taken step by step through the process. I was not confused even once by the process. I had nothing to do but gather my documents, upload them and then schedule a date for my car to be picked up and for me to be paid. The local rep. From Carvana came to my home exactly at the agreed upon time, was clear about what was going to happen, worked quickly and answered my questions. Once the papers were signed (I did not need to go to the DMV or AAA or to a notary) I received my check and my car was loaded on the one car hauler and driven away. I deposited the check that day and funds were available the very next day (which happened to be a Sunday). If I were not really strapped for time perhaps I could have made an extra $ 500-1000 overall by selling it to an individual but I would have worked very hard for that extra money and spent time I did not have available. Instead, I was not stressed by the extra work, my other responsibilities were able to be met and my car is off and becoming someone else’s beautiful Subaru.
