Found the exact car equipped how I wanted that I had been searching for for quite some time. Had Carvana ship it in from out of state. The only noted imperfections on Carvana's website were two paint chips and a small scratch near the driver door handle. Everything else was a check mark in the PASS column on their inspection report. Car showed up and it was a disaster. Headlight was cracked, rear bumper cover clearly had been hit and didn't align with the quarter panel, deep 5 inch scratch on the roof, horribly gouged wheel, both front brake rotors below minimum thickness and worn unevenly, multiple undocumented cosmetic scratches and dings, and more. Also, both interior door panels looked like the vinyl was warped or peeling and someone had hot glued it back on near the windows. They got glue all over the window seals while doing so. And all this is just what I could see before bothering to get the keys to unlock the car or drive it! This is NOT what I expect from a $51,000 used car! Carvana canceled my order with almost no hassle. However, now I'm stuck with a hard credit pull on my report. And to make it worse, Carvana has already relisted the car on their website without an updated condition report. Clearly, they're fine with passing it on to the next unsuspecting, uninformed buyer. Less than stellar service compared to when I first bought 2 cars 2 years ago. It's the little details that truly matter. I have bought several cars through Carvana & because the process has been so easy previously I decided to go back to them for the trade-in I wanted to do. The process this time has been the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. And that includes AutoNation bait & switches. Their representatives didn’t complete the 10-day payoff verification in the system after I sat on a 3way call w/ them. This caused me to have to go through everything again because not only did they cancel my order, I lost my delivery date & have to wait another week. Spent 4 hours on the phone w/ 5 different representatives yesterday & they won’t do anything. I asked at the least they waive my delivery fee for the trouble. Escalation finally called this morning & offered $200 after 7 day trial period. Not even close to the delivery fee. I may as well have gone to a dealership if I wanted to waste 4 hours of my day. The point of Carvana is to be quick & not time consuming. At least a dealership would’ve given me coffee & a swag bag. Surely they can do better than $200 2 weeks from now. It’s all their delivery trucks. They control the process. They can waive a delivery fee. They just won’t! I’ll never buy from them again. Might even cancel another order I have pending for my wife.
