Problems showing up soon after their 7 day return policy. Our son bought a 2011 BMW. Little did he know the battery was the original, which made it 9 yrs old. The Back passenger door window, has a defective motor and a problem staying up. The inside Door panel of the same door is loose. The tires were over inflated, and it now has other technical issues associated with the computer. ALL of these issues are expensive to fix, more than what the car is worth for one 9yrs old. There is no history attached to the car, whether it has been wrecked, or otherwise. His wife bought a Range Rover and is seems to have been wrecked, also. It also seems that whoever sells these cars, to Carvana, is unloading a white elephant and Carvana is making cosmetic repairs and not revealing former issues. I also know that many of these cars are sold at auctions. We had a friend who did this, and also engaged in the exact goings on, to turn a profit. There is a LEMON LAW IN FLORIDA, and it is against the LAW TO KNOWINGLY SELL any VEHICLE, without telling the BUYER of issues, or previous DAMAGE! So, I suggested he contact the website and the SELLER who sold the vehicles to them, and demand they make it right. I would NEVER purchase a USED VEHICLE through this method, SIGHT UNSEEN til DELIVERY, and none of the issues will appear until after the "WARRANTY IS UP". SAD! More

I own my own business and understand that time really is money! 4.5 stars would be my choice but apparently only whole star ratings are allowed. Admittedly I had initial hesitation buying a car from online, having never done this before. My father in law is an expert mechanic and owns the auto repair shop in my town so I had extra piece of mind. But even without that I am confident this car buying experience would have been sufficient. In addition to two extended warranties that carvana offered (I declined both based primarily on my father's shop service), the 100 day / 4186 mile / 0 deductible basic warranty satisfied my needs. On top of which I got a five year old car with extremely low mileage (nearly 12k less) compared to other cars of the same make, model and age. I used the 7-Day test drive to familiarize myself with the vehicle which rode astonishingly similarly to my 2005 Civic SI. The 7 day period also gave my father-in-law a chance to mechanically inspect the vehicle and he told I had a good car. The only two things that prevented me from giving a full 5 stars were quite minor. The first was the car was delivered without a front plate bracket (required in state of NJ) having come from PA where only the rear bracket is required. However my delivery driver was kind enough to call Carvana on my behalf and start a case with their warranty company (SilverRock?) to get me one installed. Yay! Second thing was a few of the calls I made for general questions had a hold time that was too long and I had appointments to attend. So we played phone tag A bit. Granted it was during Covid-19 and they did put me on the call-back list so I wouldn't have to stay in hold. Everyone I spoke to was genuinely helpful. To summarize, I plan to buy all my future vehicles this way! Thank you, Carvana for showing me the enlightening way to purchase a vehicle! More
I had a truly great car selling experience through Carvana with the help of Matthew McCann from Boost Acquisition. I wasn’t in a hurry to sell my 2014 Ford Escape, getting the right price was much more important to me. Initially, Matthew offered a price that was too low for me so I declined. Over the course of the next TWO MONTHS Matthew went above and beyond by keeping me informed of the fluctuating value of my vehicle in these turbulent times until the offer available matched what I was looking for. From there, the process couldn’t have been simpler. Uploading documents to Carvana, scheduling a time for inspection, and getting the car picked up was all very straightforward. Payment was also quick and painless. Overall, a very good experience working with Matthew and Carvana. More
I had high expectations for this online dealership and I think that my experience is probably an exception to their otherwise likely good sales, but I didn’t have a great experience with Carvana. I was able to buy a vehicle completely online and the application process was very easy. The financing terms weren’t very fair and there’s no way to negotiate those BUT I still proceeded because I needed a vehicle. I live far from any of their dealerships to paid the $399 delivery fee and had to wait a pretty long time to receive my vehicle, which was to be expected. The delivery company didn’t communicate well with me- Carvana says in their email that the company will call you 48-72 hours before they’re arriving so you can figure it out but I only got a call a few HOURS before and was expected to just be available in the middle of the day. And they wouldn’t deliver it to my specific address since the carrier truck couldn’t fit, but made me meet them a couple miles away from home so that wasn’t too bad. My biggest let down with the experience was that the interior of the car was not detailed and it smelled SO BAD inside when you got in. So of course the first thing I did was pay for a full interior detail hoping that would help the smell but it didn’t. $175 for the detail and no luck. I tried everything to get the smell out- Every air freshener, carpet cleaner/powder/spray, frebreze, nothing helped. So I had to start the process of returning the vehicle. First, they make you call instead of chat online and boy is it a long wait every time you call. But I made it through to someone and he said he wasn’t sure how I can return the car since I live so far from a dealership and couldn’t just drop it off. So he said he would have to check with his supervisors and would call me back the next morning. 4 days pass and I didn’t hear anything from him and it’s now outside my 7 day return window. Luckily for me, he made notes so when I called back and spoke with someone (after another long long hold time), they were still able to honor my return since I had let them know I wanted to return it before my 7 day window closed. The option I had was to drive 12 hours to the closest dealership or to pay another $399 for a delivery driver to come pick it up. My estimated pickup date for the vehicle was 7/30, then it was 8/5, and now it’s 8/11 and still haven’t heard from the carrier despite my calling Carvana every day. I tried “swapping vehicles” where I exchange the one I bought for a different one and somehow my credit got denied for the second one. Overall, terrible experience, poor communication and wouldn’t recommend this dealer to anyone. More

I did not like the rate I got on the loan but knew if I tried to change it, I would lose the car. More
