I picked the car, gave them access to my bank account, then they said I needed a cashier's check. I went to get the car and paid in full, $24K, and got a test drive to the rear of the building to put air then they said I needed a cashier's check. They reported online that the vehicle had 2 imperfections, we immediately found 5. I followed their instructions and reported the defects, and I was told that you have to be able to see it from 5 ft away and that a 5-inch scratch on the bumper was cosmetic. I spent the next 2 days trying to return the vehicle. Finally, they came to pick it up and I got no receipt, only hurry up and wait for my refund. Very frustrating and stressful, they don't even follow their own rules! More

In one word terrible. The car I bought (wich was not a cheap one) lasted 98 days before the coolant sytem malfunctioned and the engine blew. Although the delivery of my car was delayed by almost 4 weeks, which caused a minor to insignificant inconvenience in my personal life, i'm still very pleased with the condition of the car and the fact tha weeks, which caused a minor to insignificant inconvenience in my personal life, i'm still very pleased with the condition of the car and the fact that any issues that it had were taken care of at all. This probably saved me time and expenses down the road so I appreciate receiving this car right after a maintenance check. Devin, who delivered the car, was also full of knowledge and made me feel super comfortable with the whole process. I wanted to give 4-stars for not knowing what was wrong with the car until it was delivered and Devin let me know, but Carvana gets 5-stars because this process beats going to a dealership ANY DAY! Carvana charged us a $790 delivery fee for a car that we thought was local (free shipping) according to the Truecar website where we saw it. Truecar said it was in Little Rock, Arkansas when it was actuall thought was local (free shipping) according to the Truecar website where we saw it. Truecar said it was in Little Rock, Arkansas when it was actually in New York,NY according to Carvana when we offered to buy it. Carvana blamed Truecar for not updating there website often enough. Then Carvana said they had a transportation problem in shipping the car to us and changed the delivery date 3 times. We were without a car to drive that we had fully paid for due to these shipping date changes. Carvana's opinion was so sad too bad for you we don't compensate for inconvience. I will never use Carvana again. More

I found just the car I was looking for on Carvana. I have used Carmax for the past several purchases and assumed this was similar - I was wrong. It was difficult to get a real person to help when I I have used Carmax for the past several purchases and assumed this was similar - I was wrong. It was difficult to get a real person to help when I had questions. Each time I talked to a real person, I was given conflicting information from the previous person I had spoken with. Some of the issues: 1) I was first told I could use the sale of my car I was replacing to offset the sales tax on my purchase- I needed only to upload an official state Bill of Sale. Then days later I was told that was not possible and needed to be handled by the DOV. Fine, but give me the correct answer in the first place. 2) Carvana moved my delivery date three times. The last time I literally was on the phone with a customer advocate that assured me everything was in order and my car would be delivered in the next two days as stated. Less than an hour later I received an auto-generated email that my delivery date was moved to the following week. LESS THAN AN HOUR from being told differently. I had sold my car and was without for this period of time. 3) When I received the car there was no front license plate bracket. I live in Missouri and the car was delivered to Missouri and tagged in Missouri. Missouri REQUIRES a front tag. I was told first that they would pay for one, but the next guy that walked in the door said all they would do is drill two holes in the bumper and I would have to take care of that. 4) My vehicle arrived missing a rubber hood stop which was clearly visible in all of the pictures of the vehicle. Too bad. They don't cover or replace that. It was in the pictures and NOT on the vehicle. 5) They really want you to finance with them. I have excellent credit. They offered a rate of almost 11%!!!!! I financed at my bank for just over half that. They offered me 1/3 of the trade in value on the car I was getting rid of. In conclusion - no - I would not recommend Carvana. Carmax was much easier to work with. While I'm glad I found the car I wanted, I will not use Carvana again and will not recommend them to anyone else. More
