To be honest, I was first reluctant. But I conducted my research. Carvana is AWESOME!! What impressed me was their strict criteria/inspection, when the company places a car for sale. The Website provides so much details about the automobile. Also, the vehicle price is well below the dealership. The financing process was flawless. When I received the car, I thought it was a new car. The associate, Tymeshia Garner, who delivered my car was very professional and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CARVANA!! More
I was very skeptical at first about buying a car online but however my car was towards the end of it’s life and unfortunately with my wife and I working separate shifts going to a car dealer and spending t but however my car was towards the end of it’s life and unfortunately with my wife and I working separate shifts going to a car dealer and spending time to find a car to what we wanted we didn’t have time. So we downloaded the carvana app and began our search. With everything we were looking for we found a car that we liked. Went through everything with trade in and sign a contract all done in probably 20 instead of the 8 hours we spent to purchase our last car at a dealer. So delivery day our advocate contacted me and asked for a few pictures of my self with my Id, insurance and picture of my wife’s id since her name was on the title of the old car. I accidentally sent her a picture of my youngest child. So delivery time comes and my car is on one of those cool carvana trucks. She offloads my car and parks into the drive way. She gives me a little gift basket for my youngest child which I thought was awesome. So she goes to take my old car and wouldn’t start. They can only try 3 times and if it doesn’t start they can’t take it. She suggested I talk to an advocate on the phone because since the old car is tied to the new car they couldn’t deliver. So she told me she could only wait 20 minutes and I call and an automatic 10 minute wait. So I finally get a hold of someone and unfortunately my house phone died (yes I have a house phone). So I have her take out new car back. I then call back an advocate on the phone. The guy I got was fantastic!! He redid my contract without the trade in front start to finish. He was going to get it redelivered 2 days later however as we were setting up everything the slots were filled and the next time wasn’t until almost a week. He talked to the hub and got them to squeeze me in 2 days since my car was already there. He then put me back on hold to talk to the underwriter to make sure everything was fine and said they didn’t have it yet however as soon as it pops in they will take care of it and in 15 minutes later was was all set. They were able to deliver it at my work since there wasn’t any slots available when I was home. Again the next lady I worked with was great got to drive it fill out a few forms and it was all set and done. I was extremely surprised how great everything was. They were professional and very friendly. I’d definitely say buying online is a great alternative to buying at a dealer only issue was the trade in that if I was at the dealer could be solved quickly but they were able to fix everything pretty quick. I would definitely go down thei route again!! More
I was excited to buy a car on-line, but my experience is not exactly reassuring. There appear to be a number of issues in the way Carvana handles certain situations. For example, clearly the system is not not exactly reassuring. There appear to be a number of issues in the way Carvana handles certain situations. For example, clearly the system is not prepared for someone paying cash for an expensive car, esp. if the funds are coming from insurance settlement. That's what happened to us, ins. company wrote-off our car as "total loss", we were expecting the money (took about 10 days), and we couldn't close the Carvana transaction, since we were not financing the car, but we also didn't have all the $$$ (over $30K) on hand. This caused us to lose a very attractive car and go to a more expensive one. Additionally, making change to active but not completed transaction forces one to "edit" the purchase, which resets the delivery date, and makes it very inconvenient. Finally, we had to talk to human almost every time when the stupid robot (Sebastian) couldn't handle our questions or answers. Annoying, since it usually meant waiting for hours for someone to call us. More
What a miserable experience - with the timers going while you're trying to reserve a car and their website being unresponsive - the almost complete impossibility of speaking to a human - waiting 16 hours for you're trying to reserve a car and their website being unresponsive - the almost complete impossibility of speaking to a human - waiting 16 hours for a text response and receiving marketing emails that are not relevant to me (asking me if I still want to do my trade-in when they already have my old car) - the whole process has been extremely frustrating and remains so now. They wound down the clock on my 7 days return by not responding to texts in a timely manner. I feel really poorly treated by this company. The individual representatives I worked with were all fine -- it's the company that is the problem. More
