I ordered a car on Carvana, and they made me an offer on my trade. The car delivery was delayed 10 days. During that period, I received an email from them stating that my trade offer had expired, and the value of my car dropped by $800. But....the offer expired because they delayed delivery. See the game here? They never did give me a good reason for the delay, and I even offered to pick up the car, which they said couldn't be accommodated. I canceled my order, found a much better deal on CarMax, completed that deal effortlessly and now I'm happy. More
The car was delivered as promised, and the overall process was very simple and easy. Very happy with the purchase and will consider using Carvana again. process was very simple and easy. Very happy with the purchase and will consider using Carvana again. More
A beautiful and exhilarating ride! (James Bond would approve of this modern BMW Z4 "Road Rocket"). Only found one overlooked pre-delivery issue: The two 12 Volt power outlets don't work and will have to invoke the Carvana 100-Day Warranty if it's other than a blown fuse. The Saturday car delivery was punctual and the Carvana driver was most helpful in explaining how to operate this modern "computerized Roadster". The total purchasing time, including funds by mail delivery and twice rescheduled delivery dates (due to delivery setbacks and weather delay, was 30 days - much longer than normal. More
Purchased a car and extended warranty from Carvana and it was a big mistake. Their policies are horrible, they do not inspect their vehicles well or they flat out lie and their customer services could not be was a big mistake. Their policies are horrible, they do not inspect their vehicles well or they flat out lie and their customer services could not be worse. Within 3 weeks of purchase the the breaks needed repair because they were installed incorrectly, the car had been given a fake paint job that washed off in places leaving big areas with no paint, molding fell off because it was glued down instead of bolted and tires with were 6 yrs old with no tread and dry rot dry rot. Carvana did nothing and first tried to blame it all on me, then basically said this is up to their standards and ok by their policies . The extended warranty denied coverage (of course). What makes all of this worse is that their customer service is absolutely horrible, all they do is blame the customer and deny any responsibility. Awful experience all the way around. Buyer beware. This place is a scam. More
On February 8th of 2023 I took delivery of my car. On February 10th the car broke down when the starter nuked itself. The car was taken to the only in network mechanic in my area. I had a list On February 10th the car broke down when the starter nuked itself. The car was taken to the only in network mechanic in my area. I had a list of other complaints along with a request to do a PPI. When I received the car back, he said there were no issues, and the PPI was fine. In in my state there are no PPI requirements. Therefore it is reasonable to assume these items can be missed based on lack of standards alone. He said the reason he did not document the PPI was because he did not find anything wrong. The next day I had more issues with the starter and took it back to him. I repeated my complaints and he acknowledged the transmission was problematic and noted the starter was bad, however said it would be ok for me to take a road trip and fix it on return. I had somewhere I needed to be. I picked the car up from him 2 days later and left for for my trip that night and drove 1300 miles, only stopping for fuel. The mechanic put more miles on the car before I left town than I did. A couple of days after I arrived, the check engine light came on and went into limp mode. I called the Dealership as I didn't trust anyone here and the vehicle has been sitting at their shop since. The dealership found that the rotors were hung. Carvana replaced rotors in an attempt to hide the problem and even listed that they were replaced on the 150 point inspection sheet. Now I have bad brakes and rotors (again) that will not be warrantied.. How can I expect a technician to find a problem if it’s being hidden? What makes this so bad is the emergency brake is ALSO broken and I complained about it, You could have killed me. The clutch is metal on metal. The ticking sound I’ve been complaining about since the first visit to the mechanic was the clutch. There are gouges in the metal. I have been riding on a clutch with no padding this entire time. It works seemingly fine. There is no way that clutch was serviceable when I received the car and there's no way to check it without dropping the transmission. The clutch on this car is rated for 80,000 miles. It should have been changed before I received the car at 72,000 miles. . The tires are all dry rotting. When the previous owner purchased this vehicle, they removed the wheels and tires and stacked them in their garage on bare concrete in an uncontrolled environment. They then installed a lift kit, aftermarket rims, and 35” tires. I know because the Speedometer was out of calibration and it has cheap trash aftermarket parts all over the suspension. The dry rotting is so bad I can tell where in the stack each tire was. I purchased this car to go overlanding. Mud tires have half the lifespan of street tires. They will not last. and they are too dangerous to use, period. If I take those tires out to the mountains this summer like I planned I will not make it back. The tires look brand new, little nubs and all, but when you look closer they are rotten. I have a high center Car on 33” tires… If one blows out I’m flying across the freeway into a ditch or oncoming traffic. I mean at this point, are you trying to kill your customers? It is obvious no true certification was done on the vehicle before it was given to me. All of these wearable Items were denied by Silver Rock. When I called Silver rock about the situation I was constantly stone walled with employees telling me it’s not covered, it’s not covered like parrots. After several dozen tries I found a manager that would listen to me and she requested photos of the tires be sent in, but refused to replace the brake pads and calipers. At that time I was also waiting for the dealership to remove the clutch and take pictures to send that in. Again the tires were denied. Then the clutch was denied. More

Big defect that wasn't listed, is very noticeable. Carvana team told me THEY dented the car upon delivery and I should take pictures so they can fix it. This was the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. I thought this was supposed to be fun and exciting but instead I was met with sharp deadlines, bad customer service, constant “technical problems”, a I thought this was supposed to be fun and exciting but instead I was met with sharp deadlines, bad customer service, constant “technical problems”, and at any moment it felt like I was going to get shafted. My delivery was 10 days late, which was delayed by carvana’s own doing not my own. In which they tried to expire my trade in value to get me to pay more for a newer vehicle. Then when delivery actually came they tried to take the vehicle away and cancel the transaction until I argued that they delayed the original delivery. Won’t be doing business with carvana again. More
