My intent with purchasing via Carvana was to be covid-19 safe. I thought I'd have contactless delivery and pickup of trade without having to intervene with any people during the process. Timeline went as follows: - Early Nov 2020: completed purchase of my vehicle online. Given a delivery date of late Nov. - Late Nov 2020: Received a call from Carvana dispatch that the vehicle was damaged coming off the delivery truck as the driver backed into something and caused body damage in which the tail light would not stay in place. Required body shop work and my delivery would be delayed but Carvana would cover cost 100%, new delivery date would be 12/23/2020. ***My thought was no worries, things happen, I'll patiently wait. - 12/22/2020: received a call from Carvana dispatch in VA that the body work was complete, however they would not be able to meet the 12/23/2020 delivery date due to overbooking themselves that date. I would need to drive 35 miles from my home to pickup in person. ***This was complete against my intent of not have to interface with any people and put my family at risk of covid-19. But, I was looking at extensive delays otherwise, so I went to the Carvana lot 35 miles from my home and picked up the vehicle. The vehicle was not filled with fuel upon delivery, which is a customary practice I came to expect with car purchases. - 12/29/2020: I receive notification from the Carvana app that I would now need to get a state emissions test myself because they failed to do so. Again, going against what I expected of the "Carvana experience" of not having to interface with any people during the pandemic. - 12/30/2020: I receive a call from Carvana indicating they failed to obtain full POA signatures in order to complete my registration with the state. Now I must go to a notary public and then FedEx back the documents. Again putting my family at risk of exposure to people and not the Carvana experience advertised. ***At this point I express great frustration. The advocate on the call indicates they'll see how I may be reimbursed for my time and risk. Carvana then agrees to a $100 "gratuity" for my efforts. I felt this was very minimal compensation in regard to the service they advertise. - 12/31/2020-01/02/2021: I get emissions test completed as well as POA notarized. I FedEx back to Carvana and upload emissions result to my post sale dashboard. I call Carvana and request to speak with a manager/team lead in regard to amount of my own time it took to handle these items a typical car dealer would handle....I am told I will receive a callback. I get a call back from team lead, Erica, and I get nothing but "I understand you're upset" in response after I detailed the timeline of their missteps. - 01/04/2021-01/08/2021: I begin feeling ill with covid symptoms. I test positive for covid-19 on 01/08/2021. Myself and my entire family becomes ill for the entire month of January 2021. This experience was nowhere near the Carvana experience I expected. Carvana advertises a contactless and hassle free delivery process....I think it's fair to did I received nothing of the sort. More
I received my Volkswagon Cross Sport with 1500 miles on it and it had a large dent in the top edge that they never mentioned. They said it was a scratch but I insisted they would fix it. Their insurance company said they would pay for it so I took it to a body shop. It was a $1600 repair and will take 4-5 days without a rental car and it is my only transportation. I have received 8 emails and several texts that there is missing paperwork. It said I will get paperwork to sign by fed ex and had to return it in 24 hours. They did this for 8 days. So I have called 3 times and waited for an answer. They have no clue why I am getting these notifications and do not know when I will get my title and registration. They were going to email me a printable temp tag then they were going to fedex it. I have passed the 7 day return period and subject to an organization who have not processed my title and plate and have no clue when they will. I am driving a new 39k car with a dent in it and soon to be bad plates. The first car I purchased from Carvana was great, this time it sucked. More
Carvana sucks, let’s just start there. Their prices are high and so are the interest rates. The laundry list of problems on my car started before it even rolled off the delivery truck. The drivers seat had cigarette burns, the windshield leaked and that created a big stain on the headliner, there was a major chassis or steering linkage issue in the front end and the backup cam was broken. How did they miss all this on their illustrious inspection? I can only assume no inspection was ever done. When they wouldn’t extend my 7 day test drive beyond the time it would take for all the repairs I returned it. All but one of the customer service agents I talked to was some degree of unhelpful. Toni was the only helpful customer service person I talked to. They definitely don’t make me feel appreciated. Steer clear if the questionable company. More

I had a few issues with the delivery date being moved but a lot of the issue was the weather and road conditions. Other than that I loved it! A week before buying my car from Carvana I went to a dealership where they tried to get me into a loan with an payment that was too high for a car I was not interested in. I went to the Carvana website dealership where they tried to get me into a loan with an payment that was too high for a car I was not interested in. I went to the Carvana website and choose a car that I wanted. The thing I liked about Carvana is that you know what you are paying for and why you are paying for it. Everything was crystal clear with no surprises. I even was able to change my mind the next day and choose a different car. This will be the way I choose to buy cars in the future from here on. More

This was best experience I have ever had buying a car. I plan on using their service again. My car came to me and I was able to sign all of the documents virtually without spending half a day in a car deal plan on using their service again. The process was well laid out and easy to follow. The new car was exactly as advertised and the trade in process was quick and easy. The only advise I would give is that if you're having it delivered quickl car was exactly as advertised and the trade in process was quick and easy. The only advise I would give is that if you're having it delivered quickly that you go ahead and talk with your insurance agent as the amount of time you have to submit paperwork is short and resulted in having to redo the contracts a couple times.
