First - buying a car for me is pretty straightforward because I never buy a car on time (or haven't in 30 years) so I never have to deal with financing. I've gotta' say, Carvana was a snap. I took my 201 because I never buy a car on time (or haven't in 30 years) so I never have to deal with financing. I've gotta' say, Carvana was a snap. I took my 2016 Highlander to a few dealers and got their price on what they'd give me for my car, then I filled out the form on Carvana and they offered about $1800 more, which was nice. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted (Lexus NX300, Lexus GS 350, Camry - something like that) and finally decided on a 2019 Lexus NX. The price was less than what the dealer wanted but really, you can usually work out some lower price at the dealership if you try hard enough. Since this car was being purchased in October of 2021 when used cars were rather scarce, I decided to forgo the dealer and try Carvana. I actually ordered the car completely using my phone, gave a description of my car, my honest evaluation of it's condition, a picture of the odometer and some pics of my title and I was on my way. I live in the Chicago area and having the car delivered or picking up at one of their vending machines took the same amount of time - 7 days. I believe the car was in the So Cal/ LV area. The delivery was scheduled for a Friday afternoon between noon- 1PM. I got a couple of texts during the week confirming they'd received my payment (basically a wire transfer from my account to Carvana - no cost to me) and reaffirming that I had to provide them with proof of insurance before I could take possession. I did all of that and was all set by Friday morning. I got a couple of calls from the Carvana driver saying she was on her way, then that she'd be 15 minutes late, which she was. She arrived, took my newly purchased car off the flat bed truck, pulled it into my driveway and we each inspected our respective vehicles and took them for a quick test drive. Satisfied that everything was OK, she pulled my now old car onto the flatbed, I signed a few papers and she was on her way. All this took MAYBE 20 minutes total, which was very nice. Just a few things, if your Carvana car has a ding or scratch, they'll tell you about it - and have a picture of it online - before you get the car so you won't be surprised. Also, my Carvana car had one key, not 2 - which they pointed out. Unfortunately, my key fob just had the electronic fob, which still worked fine to open doors and start the car, but not the actual metal blade key which can be used if the fob battery goes dead. That was my fault, I should've checked. BTW, if you're sort of anal like I am and you want a new electronic key fob as a spare, the cost for the fob and programming will be about $300. Keep it in mind and check the key. All in all I would certainly use Carvana again to buy my next car. Who doesn't want a quick deal, no used car dealers to deal with and you'll save money to boot?! I am giving this experience two stars rather than none because the folks I spoke to were very pleasant and tried to be helpful but the paperwork involved was over the top and either not applicable or not because the folks I spoke to were very pleasant and tried to be helpful but the paperwork involved was over the top and either not applicable or not appropriate for my State. There never was a delivery because at the very last moment Caravan refused to accept the agreed trade in price for my vehicle saying that the condition of my vehicle was not disclosed when, in fact, I disclose the condition and it was included specifically in the CarFax report. I think I was being subjected to a bait and switch scheme when Carvana wanted me to pay up the difference between the trade in and the agreed purchase price for the new vehicle. I will never deal with Carvana again. I recently applied my trade-in toward another car from another dealer who offered me almost $3500 MORE than what Carvana walked away from. Carvana=not a good experience. More
Absolutely terrible! Buying a car was easy, but they have yet to be able to deliver my title and I still can't get a tag and hit has been 70 days since my purchase. I will never buy a car from them aga have yet to be able to deliver my title and I still can't get a tag and hit has been 70 days since my purchase. I will never buy a car from them again. The entire ordeal has me thinking that they didn't have clear title to the car they sold me and therefore can't get the title to me. I paid cash for the car so processing the title shouldn't be that big of a deal. The back office systems seem to be in total chaos. More

Received deceitful phone calls the spoof local number had hide the caller. Highly questionable policy when asking for personal information. FBI and other law enforcement agencies warn about against share inf hide the caller. Highly questionable policy when asking for personal information. FBI and other law enforcement agencies warn about against share information with calls like this. When other car companies like Vroom would call, their company name would appear as the caller ID. Like Carvana, they also had employee that worked from home. This gave me a first impression that they were sneeze and unprofessional. Delivery quoted as 7 days until agreement was completed, then delivery changed to 31 days. Since I was using my bank, I was required to complete the loan before my application would be accepted. This resulted in me having to make a car payment, before Carvana could even deliver the car. I was told that they require this from all banks, unless I was to use them for financing. To sum it up, with no service provided after the sale like a dealership, misleading deliver dates, unprofessional phone service and having to pay for a car a month before it is delivered, the only reason I continued to deal with this company was because of the price of the vehicle I purchased.
