CARVANA IS A SCAM, internally you get a crap car Disclaimer: this was not my first car purchase and in my opinion dealerships can be a hassle but they're nothing compared to Carvana's misleading adve Disclaimer: this was not my first car purchase and in my opinion dealerships can be a hassle but they're nothing compared to Carvana's misleading advertising and policies. I'd appreciate you reading this through if your are considering their service. I never have written a review for any site but as I see their commercials/ billboards go up I want to warn others that THEY ARE A SCAM. 1. I nothing positive to say! 2. This unethical business is a scam and cares more about your money than safety and investment. 3. Rating 1 star because KBB made me give at least 1, deserves 0 ----So here it is, I purchased a car totaling almost 20 grand (too much money to xxxxxx around with Carvana!) . the company dropped off a nice "looking car" from the exterior however; upon inspection, the Honda dealer found pounds of dried dirt beneath the under panel reaching up around the engine. It was determined the car was in a flood or submerged in a mud lot for an extended period of time. This car had clearly never been through their promised "150 point inspection" because as the honda dealer removed the loose panel, all the dirt fell out. There was not one mechanic I visited who felt this could have been missed by Carvana's team because the issue was evident as soon as the car was lifted. From customer service advocates to supervisors, they will not assist you nor have answers. They will just respond to send the car back and demonstrate no remorse for delivering a vehicle in such a condition. As soon as I called to communicate to Carvana, I want my trade in back, why that is, and they can pick up their drop off, within the hour, immediately took my down payment from my account on file. they take forever to return your money and reimburse for state inspections. do not trust carvana! do waste your time! do not let them take your money! , they are a true llc, knowing they have reason(s) to be found liable. Buyer Beware: Trust, But Verify My wife purchased a vehicle from Carvana and returned it to them (without hassle) when we determined it had been in an undisclosed accident. The Carf My wife purchased a vehicle from Carvana and returned it to them (without hassle) when we determined it had been in an undisclosed accident. The Carfax report was "Clean". Our personal experience concluded that this dealership's inspection department failed to detect the fact that the vehicle had been in an accident prior to delivery to my wife. Nobody has more of vested interest in determining the actual accident status of a vehicle than the buyer. Find a good certified mechanic who has your best interest at heart and will comprehensively inspect the vehicle prior to expiration of the 7-day-money-back guarantee period. IF your mechanic buys off on it, then consider executing the purchase. If not, return it. As "easy" as Carvana makes the car-buying experience sound, don't get lazy. Inspect. Inspect. Inspect. More
A nightmare.. I am fully aware that the vast majority of people have had great experiences with Carvana, including my friend who recommended them to me. My "on goin I am fully aware that the vast majority of people have had great experiences with Carvana, including my friend who recommended them to me. My "on going" experience has been a nightmare. Beginning in early February 2018 my wife and I decide to purchase a Chrysler product van due to their "Stow-n-go" seating....we are vendors at regional trade shows. We viewed/pursued a half dozen vans at local dealerships but decided on Carvana after hearing the positive reviews, the convenience factor which was very important, and the easy financing....one stop shopping. We picked out a van that wasn't shown but Carvana website noted pics available in 7-8 days....almost two weeks later pics were shown and the color was different then what the listing stated. We cancelled that vehicle and picked out another....went through their document uploading process, signed the contract and waited for delivery approximately one week. When the vehicle showed up the color was right but the windshield was chipped up and pitted - apparently it was a rental in Arizona. My wife immediately noticed there was no heated seats, no DVD player, and no navigation on the radio/display....all features their website stated were part of our van. I was told I should get the windshield fixed, make the calls, setup a time, etc....I'm sorry, but if you want to sell me a car YOU need to fix the problems prior to bringing it to my house. I sent the van back that day. I was told sorry about the "mis-annotated" listing and I was given a 250 dollar courtesy refund. We picked out a 3rd van with all the bells and whistles, we picked a date for delivery but our schedule conflicted with Carvanas so we had to take a delivery date they provided. 10-14 days later we anticipated our new van with great joy, we were heading to Chicago for St Patty's Day and a big trade show....the van with "Stow-n-Go" seating was a must. March 17th arrived and no van showed up, instead we got an e-mail with no "body"....a completely blank e-mail with a subject line that said "You need to reschedule your delivery...." UNBELIEVABLE! I have to rent a van on very short notice which cost a premium expense to me. Here it is Monday the 20th of March....I check the Carvana website for any information....what I found is that Carvana changed the contract requiring me to sign it again, they removed my "courtesy refund" which I believe they should of doubled given the 35 days that have passed since picking out a vehicle with no van yet (our 3rd choice), and they raised my down payment.....apparently Carvana provides an "advocate" for 9 out of 10 customers, for the rest of us we get "antagonized"!!! Oh yeah, the other 4-5 vans we were pursuing prior to contacting Carvana....they all have been sold....roll the dice if you want but be aware there is ALOT of "mis-annotated" lisitings and there is no "face" associated with Carvana. A local dealer you can go back to and talk to the salesperson or their boss. At Carvana, you get someone behind a curtain with bullet point responses to your problems....they just keep passing the buck to the next advocate. More

The online experience and the customer support, be it on chat or on the phone, was nothing short of excellent. The car pick up experience was also awesome and I loved receiving a video of this experience to cherish and share with family and friends. I will gladly return to Carvana for my next car and do hope I have an opportunity to purchase a new car the next time around!!! More

Ca On Saturday 2/3, I took delivery of a 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG. The driver was awesome, and maintained great communication on the morning of delivery. Car came in and the exterior looked good. I did note the exterior blemishes as shown in the pictures, which seemed about right. They do need to use better resolution with those pictures though. Online, they look like they were taken by a Motorola flip phone, lol. I did notice some additional damage that was not pointed out on the website, particularly a relatively large scrape (4-5 inches long) on the bottom edge of the front bumper. As someone else had stated on here, then generally don’t report damage below the midline of the car. While I appreciate that they can’t practically cover all damages on the exterior, Carvana should be a bit more upfront about this, as it makes you as the buyer a little disappointed at the onset. Moving to the interior, it appeared to be “vacuum clean” but not much else. It wasn’t in bad shape as the car didn’t have a lot of mileage, but I’d say it was a little cruddy. The passenger seat has some minor but noticeable staining on the alcantara seating surface (I really hope it’s coffee!). The driver side door was also quite dirty looking. It appears to have some buildup in the grain/textured surface. No big deal, but I would have expected the interior detail to be at least equivalent to a typical pre-owned vehicle dealership. So I proceeded to do a quick check of the interior equipment to make sure everything was in order. Everything was working well, and we were ready for the test drive. I routinely park on an inclined surface and always use the parking brake, so by habit, I went to pull the release handle and the whole handle pulled out in my hand! I look over at the poor delivery guy and he’s like, “Well, that wasn’t supposed to happen.” He was clearly embarrassed by this as it certainly doesn’t reflect well to the 150 point inspection or whatever they advocate. But he really stepped up here, and called both Carvana and SilverRock on my behalf, making sure they took note of it so that it would be addressed. He also informed them of the batteries that needed to be replaced in both keys, as the readout said they were low. Making a mental note to not use the parking brake until this gets fixed, we went on the test drive, and the car performed beautifully. I was satisfied assuming the repairs would be made, and signed the paperwork to start my trial period. Shortly after, I went straight to the dealership to address the issues we had uncovered as well as perform a used car inspection. The dealer had to keep the car 2 nights (they were closed Sunday) to do the diagnosis. They did seem very hesitant about dealing with a 3rd party warranty/service company, which was concerning since I purchased a 4 year CarvanaCare warranty. Fast forward to today (Monday), and I get a call from the Mercedes service associate. He informs me that the car needs to have the brake release cable replaced, and the valve cover gaskets have a small leak. He told me he would reach out to SilverRock. A few hours later, the MB service associate calls to tell me that SilverRock authorized the repair, which I was quite pleased with. The downside is that he needs to order the parts and then install, so we’re talking about having the car completed by approximately Friday, 2/9. Now my issue is that the following day (2/10) is the end of my trial period, and I’ve had the car in my possession for a total of 3 hours. I messaged Carvana using their online chat, and spoke to a representative named Brandon. He was very understanding and assured me that they would take care of me. A few minutes later, he got authorized an extension of my trial period through 2/14. Very pleased with the quick response here. He even said to call prior to the end of the trial period in the event there is a further delay in getting the car back. Summary: -Not sure I put too much confidence in their 150 point inspection. Missing a broken parking brake release makes the car borderline unsafe to operate (imagine if this were a manual transmission?). Get your own independent inspection. It’s not all that expensive when you consider your investment. -Exterior detailing, pretty good. Interior detail was lacking, with stains/ dirt apparent that would need a shampoo treatment/cleaning. -Picture resolution is about 2 decades behind. Not great for a company that in other ways seems very “state of the art” -People at Carvana have been a pleasure to deal with, every step of the way. The people are their best asset. -SilverRock seems ok so far. Let's see how they do if/when I have to use the CarvanaCare Extended Warranty that I purchased. More
Great Experience I purchased this truck 3 weeks ago and it was a great experience. Go to a dealership if you want to check out your next car but come back and see what I purchased this truck 3 weeks ago and it was a great experience. Go to a dealership if you want to check out your next car but come back and see what Carvana has available not at a little savings but a large savings and they gave me a fair trade-in price for my old truck that I was satisfied with. I know I saved thousands of dollars by purchasing a really clean used with low miles (9,000 miles) and with factory warranty. Let someone else take the depreciation on a new vehicle, buy your next vehicle here. More

I w Carvana was the BEST car buying experience I've ever had. I'd recommend them to anyone. Next time I buy a car, it will definitely be with carvana! I won't even bother going to a traditional dealership. I loved that I did not have any car salesmen trying to talk me into something I didn't want or need or having to negotiate the price. The price on carvana was below blue book and they had great customer service. More
