With little time wasted, they found a car exactly equipped, that had just come in, beat the competing offer by a mile and I had my Camry that same day! Paid full price for sacrificed customer service I knew going into this experience that I may not be treated the same as other customers. I was looking for a specific vehicle that is in high demand w I knew going into this experience that I may not be treated the same as other customers. I was looking for a specific vehicle that is in high demand with low quantities nationwide due to a limited production cycle. I placed a reservation and waited for the vehicle to be allotted to Burien Toyota. It came in after a couple of months which was expected. I knew up front I was paying MSRP and would not be getting a discount or other accommodations since this was such a rare vehicle and other dealers often charge $5k or more above MSRP. Again, I knew all of this and accepted it for what it was since I really wanted this vehicle. Unfortunately, on the day it arrived, I was made to feel like a favor was being done for me since I wasn't being charged more than MSRP. The salesman and sales manager I had been dealing with were still polite, but any interaction with them was very rushed. When I told the salesman on our arrival that I wanted to drive the vehicle I was told "OK, but I only have a couple of minutes available." It was very rushed and I didn’t have a chance to pull my wife along before he was already shuffling me into the vehicle. My family and I then waited over 3 hours in the showroom after that test drive for someone to be available for closing paperwork. We waited 3 hours despite the fact that my arrival was planned hours in advance, I was paying MSRP (which I have never done before), and had been waiting on the vehicle for 2 months. During my 3 hour wait, these gentlemen stayed in their office and just continued to tell me "you're next up for paperwork" after I watched multiple other couples who were there after us be ushered in. I felt as if I was just being placated to shut me up and go wait in the uncomfortable showroom with my wife and kids. Not once did they come out and check on us. It was up to me to go fetch updates from them. “15 more minutes.” “You’re next up.” “Thanks for your patience, have a seat and we’ll grab you when it’s your turn.” The kicker of it all was that I was told from the very beginning of this process that Toyota Financial would be able to at a minimum keep my current rate that I had for the vehicle I was trading in if not match a lower rate from elsewhere. I did the preparatory credit check during our 3-hour wait. Once we were finally ushered into the office with the closing lady, the first thing she did was complain to us about how she was there going on 3 hours after her off time due to another person calling out. For me, that is irrelevant since we've been waiting 3 hours and not my concern. We were all polite and cordial until she shuffled through a binder of printed out interest rates from some financial organizations. She said based on our credit, and the rates from the organizations they deal with, she was able to get us X.XX%. The lowest rate she could find for us in her binder of paper copies of interest rates was significantly higher than I knew we had available from our credit union. It was odd that in this day and age, hard copies of interest rates in a binder is how this dealership works to obtain credit for their customers. At that point, I told her I would need to go ahead and contact our credit union to apply for and establish a new line of credit. This sent her off the deep end due to the time of day and the extra wait she had to endure. She began to huff and puff and made a significant amount of rude non-verbal interactions like slamming other customers folders around, making long, exasperated sighs, rolling her eyes at us, and doing everything possible to voice her displeasure of us taking more of her time without actually saying it. I asked her if there was an issue and her response was "none at all, I'll just continue to work on other customers paperwork while you do what you feel you have to do." I felt I need to spend less money on financing so I wasn’t about to apologize for this since if someone had communicated this to us during our 3-hour wait, I could have easily had a promissory note from my credit union ready and waiting in my email for her. Overall it just felt like there was limited to no customer service provided to me since I was paying full price for a vehicle that others charge above MSRP for. It's like customer service was eliminated since I purchased a full price vehicle and they knew I wouldn't go anywhere else, and if I walked away, they could sell it for even more. It’s not surprising since I've yet in my lifetime to have a positive sales experience at a dealership. The vehicle itself feels a bit out of alignment with a moderate pull to the right, but I didn't even bring it up when I went back two days later to drop off the credit union check since I'd rather not deal with them again. I'm sure they would try to charge me anyway. I guess that'll be something to bring up with my local dealer's service department when I go in for my first service appointment. More

Very Expensive - Poor Flexibility, No Shuttle Their prices are very inafforable. They charge a Seattle premium for a Burien location. They also don't even look at issues except for if you pay the $124 fee to have an inspection. I had just bought my car in November. It's a 2014 Toyota Prius used, certified pre-owned. I brought it to the dealership for a routine maintenance and ask them if they could take a look at the right hand door the locking mechanism wouldn't work. They told me they could only do it if I paid 100 plus dollar fee for a diagnostic test. All I wanted them to do is look at the door and give me a few reasons why it might not be locking and then go from there. More
