I explicitly requested an efficient, transparent process that respected my time, and she delivered impeccably. Having prepared all necessary documentation beforehand, we quickly identified an acceptable vehicle. The transaction began on a high note when the initial structuring required only half of my anticipated down payment. Up until the financing stage, the experience was profoundly positive. The trajectory shifted dramatically upon entering the finance office with Ben. While final terms were ostensibly pending, he provided provisional figures and introduced three distinct warranties, framing them as built-in, value-added benefits. He then rushed me through the digital execution of the documents. Upon delivery of the vehicle on April 27th, I was explicitly instructed to hold off on managing my trade-in vehicle until he finalized the figures and contacted me the following day. What followed was a complete breakdown in professional communication: The Ghosting Period: Multiple days passed without the promised communication. The First Confrontation: Returning to the dealership at 6:00 PM days later, I was met with extreme unprofessionalism—Ben acknowledged me with a mere nod and walked away without speaking. Lydia later informed me the deal had closed and paperwork would be emailed. The Lack of Transparency: Over the ensuing weeks, I placed approximately 12 follow-up calls requesting my executed documents, financial institution details, and warranty information. I received exactly one callback from Lydia promising an email that day. A week later, I still had received nothing. On May 16th, I was forced to physically occupy space at the dealership until Ben finally agreed to see me. He offered a superficial apology and handed over printed documents without conducting a standard, professional line-by-line review of the financial terms or coverages. Upon auditing the paperwork independently, the reason for this evasion became immediately transparent: I had been deliberately manipulated. Without my explicit consent or request, Ben bundled an additional $4,154 in backend products into the loan—specifically, one warranty for $1,832 and another for $2,322. Given that this vehicle already carries Honda’s Nationwide Lifetime Warranty, adding over $4K in redundant coverage is financially nonsensical. It is highly evident that the persistent withholding of my paperwork was a calculated tactic designed to exploit the cancellation windows.
