I always dreaded the car buying experience until we purchased our first vehicle at Bert Smith 5 years ago... I did not know how incredibly easy and fast a dealer can get this job done until coming here. My husband and I have enjoyed the excellent service we have received at Bert Smith over the past 5 years. Special shout out to Keith Sanders, ours sales guy, Larry in Finance (3rd car purchased with Larry) and Michele, our genius special, these 3 made the process so comfortable and painless, we wouldn't dream about going anywhere else! More
They will do ANYTHING to sell you a car ...but PLEASE don't expect any kind of warranty service or support once you roll out the door! I bought my new car from them about 18 months ago and it has sat on their floor for about 4-6 weeks all told. EVERY time I bring it in for a warranty issue they do everything they can do deny your claim. The last time they told me the "part was cracked" up on the inside of the rear quarter panel and told me it was because "I must have been in an accident" they don't know about. Then no matter what the intermittent defect is, they will always tell you that they "could not duplicate the problem" so they won't fix it. MAC came close to summing it up when he wrote "This is the worst dealership I've used in 15 years. The incompetence at every level is incredible. Bad advice, bad service, and terrible customer service. Everyone has the same attitude." I've driven everything from Ford to Porsche, VW to Toyota in all major cities from coast to coast over the last 40 years and I have NEVER had as bad as service on a new car as I have here at Bert Smith. And you want to know the saddest part? His VW dealership across the way is JUST AS BAD. My wife left there in tears when she took her car in the other day to discuss a fuel pump issue on her TDI. In tears...I'm not kidding. But at least they told her off with a smile on their face. More

Courteous, friendly, fast and great pricing! So, last week I went to check current offers at the Bert Smith dealership (I was looking for the new car) and this is where I got my brand new 2016 ca So, last week I went to check current offers at the Bert Smith dealership (I was looking for the new car) and this is where I got my brand new 2016 car. My salesman Chris Gigon was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable. He was very friendly and courteous from the moment we were introduced to. The negotiating process was smooth, Chris Gigon was flexible, and he even went an extra mile to get the best deal for me. I felt no pressure, and I was very comfortable during my visit. I was offered water, coffee and snacks, as these little details add up to the buying experience as well. My salesman and the entire staff (sales manger, finance manager) provided me with all the information, answered my questions, didn't waste any time and the whole buying experience went like a breeze. By the way, a courtesy shuttle service I used to pick up my car was superb! The next day the car was ready, waxed and polished, filled with gas, so I could just hop in and enjoy it. Really great pricing and service! I highly recommend! Thank you! More

My 4 Day Experience with Bert Smith BMW February 13, 2016, after 4 months of looking, I went into Bert Smith’s dealership and purchased a 2013 BMW. My salesman Michael Ford suggested I leave February 13, 2016, after 4 months of looking, I went into Bert Smith’s dealership and purchased a 2013 BMW. My salesman Michael Ford suggested I leave the car for service. (Oil Change, etc…) I was to pick my new car up Tuesday Feb. 16th. 3 hours before picking up my new dream car Michael Ford called me and said they couldn’t sell the BMW to me because of an air bag recall. WHAT??? I OWN THE CAR, I’ve purchased/signed, purchased the insurance, everything! I stated I’ll bring the car to the dealership when the part come in. Nope, can’t sell you the car, we have possession and we’re not turning it over to you. I said “What if I had driven off the lot?” Michael said, “Then it would be yours, but we have it and we can’t turn it over to you”. Mark the sales manager called and was so incredibly rude, it was like night and day from the day I purchased the car to Tuesday. They never said they would look for a new vehicle, never mentioned returning my down payment or contract I signed…to this moment I am obligated/contracted to pay for the BMW. I called BMW North America….same response, no concern what so ever. Bert Smith is an independent owner and they can’t do anything to help me. I am completely shocked with everything that has transpired. I have a feeling they had someone offer them more for the car. Now I have to figure out a way to get my deposit retuned and cancel this signed contract for a car I never took possession of. More

I can't seem to get an appointment or anything done on my car under warranty or not because I didn't purchase my vehicle at this dealership. They can take their dealership and shove it up their a**. If I purchase another new or used now it won't be from this dealership. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. More

They never stock what I want which really isn't a problem. They really didn't seem interested in locating a car and doing a dealer transfer. They didn't seem interested in placing an order. They just didn't seem interested at all in selling anything that wasn't on the lot. The last time I spoke to a salesman while waiting for service on a VW that another dealership located and sold me and I asked him to notify me when the BMW X1s arrived. I got no notification so I bought an Audi instead. These guys are just not interested in dealing with anyone who isn't buying a car from inventory today. I simply won't shop them anymore for car purchases. There's no point since they put so little effort into it. More
