I bought my X3 from BMW of Owings Mills who advertised my car as having Remote Start. I took my X3 in for service in Sterling and was told it did not have Remote Start. I called and spoke to Ron, the sales car as having Remote Start. I took my X3 in for service in Sterling and was told it did not have Remote Start. I called and spoke to Ron, the sales manager at BMW Owings Mills, who said the ads are done "by a third party". I asked "So you do not stand behind the ad stating my car had remote start and it doesn't" and he said "No". Ron told me the vehicle is a 2021 X3 with the Executive Package, and during the initial COVID period, the manufacturer was pulling features from the packages/cars to "keep the chip count down". He was referring to the manufacturer as though it was not BMW manufacturing the vehicle, but some other company. I have gotten the runaround from Jeep and Toyota, but when I bought a BMW, I thought those days were over. To be told BMW of Owings Mills does not stand behind their ads for their vehicles and does not stand behind the fact that BMW Manufacturing ripped off their own customers, it seems that not taking responsibility/ownership of an issue is a contagious condition and luxury brands are not immune. So Buyer Beware if dealing with BMW of Owings Mills. They will not make things right. More
