Terrible Experience I bought a 2014 535d CPO on a Sunday (07/16). On the way home the check engine light came on. Returned it to the dealership on Monday and it was "re I bought a 2014 535d CPO on a Sunday (07/16). On the way home the check engine light came on. Returned it to the dealership on Monday and it was "repaired" on Tuesday -- I was told it was a "programming issue". Service dept. had promised a delivery to my home but when it came time to execute the service wasn't available until Thursday evening. I took BART Thursday during the day to pick up the car (was left standing at the Concord station for 30+ minutes awaiting pick-up). Drove the car less then 300 miles over the next week and on Saturday (07/29) while driving the check engine light came on again. I immediately dropped the car off at BMW Concord (Saturday afternoon) and the keys were taken from me and placed in a "drop box" envelope. On Sunday evening I left a message for my service advisor. When I had not heard from her by noon on Monday I called and was informed she hadn't come to work; the drop box envelope with the key was found lying on her desk and nothing had been done to initiate diagnosis and repair of my car. Another SA "expedited" the service and I received a call Monday evening that there was a leaking emissions system valve, part had to be ordered and wouldn't be in until Thursday. At this point my car is "supposed to be ready" Thursday evening. As a result of this poorly certified and serviced car I called my sales rep and told her I wanted to talk to the general manager of the dealership. She let me know that she informed the manager of my issues and how they had been handled so far. I was promised a call-back from Mike Twelvetrees (GM). This took place at about 12:45 on Monday (07/31). This is an absolutely horrible sales and service situation and my confidence in BMW Concord and the BMW brand has been destroyed. As a car aficionado my friends frequently turn to me for buying recommendations and I often help them locate a car and a dealership with which to do business. I won't be recommending BMW anytime soon, and I definitely won't be recommending BMW Concord (or Mini) at all. FYI-- my sales person was and has been great. This rating is no reflection on her. More
