On March 13,2026, I brought my 2025 Kia Sportage to Greenway Kia East for an oil change and tire rotation. It just turned 5,000 miles. When I returned home and was reviewing the bill, I noticed a $19 Greenway Kia East for an oil change and tire rotation. It just turned 5,000 miles. When I returned home and was reviewing the bill, I noticed a $19.95 + tax charge for oil supplement. I tried 4 times to get someone to call me back to explain the charges. It took 3 days of calling and leaving messages. Even left an email with the contact person (Gina Carpio) which is on their form should there be any questions regarding the bill. After my 4th attempt to reach someone, I spoke to the receptionist, Lisa Bhim. She apologized for the delay and said she would cc the Platform Manager and GM along with my concerns to the Service Department. This seemed to work because I received a call that day from Carlos. He explained that they add an oil additive to all oil changes. My friend with the same car, (2023 Kia Sportage) did not have it added to his when he recently brought it there for an oil change. I expressed my frustration that my issue was not so much the up charge of something I did not authorize, but the fact that it is not recommended for a new car with Synthetic oil. Research shows, including Kia, the following: Engine oil supplement is generally not recommended for a car with only 5,000 miles. At 5,000 miles, the engine is barely broken in, and modern synthetic oils already contain all the necessary detergents, anti-wear agents, and dispersants needed to protect the engine. Risks to New Engines: Using thick oil stabilizers or unnecessary additives can potentially cause issues in newer, tight-tolerance engines, such as clogging filters or damaging sensors. Manufacturer Recommendations: Most manufacturers advise against oil additives, and their use can sometimes impact warranty coverage. Carlos offered to have it drained and refilled but I do not have confidence in the Greenway Dealership to do the job. I will have it done elsewhere. More

Communication with anyone at Kia East was horrendous. I’ve left several messages requesting a call back to discuss my car repairs but no one has done so. Even left message for service manager Dina to no I’ve left several messages requesting a call back to discuss my car repairs but no one has done so. Even left message for service manager Dina to no avail. If the manager won’t call back, no reason for anyone else to. After 2 visits and having vehicle for 3 weeks along with several misdiagnoses, my engine light is still on. Poor service. Next step..dealership manager. Let’s see if they will respond. More

Every time I come get any service done I’m am greeted with a smiling face and acknowledged as soon as I arrive. They always keep me informed on what’s going on while I wait in the very comfortable lounge with a smiling face and acknowledged as soon as I arrive. They always keep me informed on what’s going on while I wait in the very comfortable lounge with free WiFi , snacks , refreshments and tv playing. This place is always clean and service technicians are always making sure you are comfortable while waiting. More
