BUYERS BEWARE! - Dr. Richard Mann
BUYERS BEWARE!! Autos of Forney is one of the most unprofessional businesses I’ve ever purchased from, even for a used car dealership. I purchased a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee on 10/17 and from the beginning there was a constant string of problems that still have not been resolved. They lied about multiple aspects of the sale included the condition of the car and the warranty coverage, and they have taken no responsibility for anything. This included selling my the car with 1mm brakepads, dangerously ineffective windshield wipers, and $8000 in repairs, including a leak in the radiator system that I was informed could cause serious damage to the head gaskets if not repaired. I had the car delivered, so I was unable to test drive the car, but they had assured me it passed a presale inspection, but it doesn't appear that the car was inspected at all. The warranty company also refused to cover the repairs because they determined they were preexisting and that I should have been informed about the repairs buy Autos of Forney. No accountability whatsover. If you do choose to buy from them, make sure to read everything very thoroughly and have every aspect of the sale well documented. Better yet, just save yourself some trouble and find a different dealership. If there is nothing wrong with the vehicle then it might be okay, but if there are any issues you will be out of luck and left stranded. I informed Autos of Forney that the extended warranty would not cover the repairs, and they have not taken any responsibility for any oversights in the presale inspection, even for the repairs that were considered a safety issue. Autos of Forney stated that would reach out to their “regional warranty representative” to have a third-party inspection, but that was over two weeks ago and there has not been any indication this will actually happen, and they will not provide any information for the warranty rep. They also claim that there is no one else at Autos of Forney that I can speak with about the issue except for Maletta and the original salesperson. It looks like I will be stuck with around $8000 in unexpected repairs, but I also have to choose between paying for the repairs myself so that the problems don’t worsen, or trying to wait for a “third party inspection” which at this point seems to be a complete lie, and will likely leave me stuck with the repair costs anyway and possibly worse damage. This is a brief synopsis of what happened, I could fill a few pages with the whole story....multiple levels of unprofessionalism and predatory practices.
