What started out as a great trip on Saturday, August 17 turned into a day of frustration and unknowns when I had an engine issue with my 2020 Outback. This problem lead me to Hawk Subaru in Plainfield, Illinois. They diagnosed the problem, had the needed part, and the mechanic was willing to work beyond his work hours to get me back on the road. In the meantime, salesman Tony and Sales Manager Mark helped me when I decided I couldn’t continue on a cross country trip, all by myself, with a car I had no confidence in. We talked, negotiated, talked, listened to each other, had patience with one another, and I decided to purchase a brand new Subaru. They even switched my hitch and bike rack from my old car to my new car, making a long work day for themselves. Then they helped me move 5 months of travel stuff to my new car and sent me on my way. I will NEVER forget that day or those people. Even when one travels by themself and finds themself in a difficult situation, there are always people to be kind and help, and that day, it was Mark, Tony, the mechanics, and the woman at the service desk who kept me informed. So I went to the QX 80 RSVP event with my dad the other day. Do you wanted to try to get my mom to buy a vehicle And get her out of her navigator that had nothing but transmission problems. Well, I was there I had a conversation with the service manager, Tony. You reminded me of my grandpa recently passed away. Tony is filled with a ridiculous amount of knowledge on the GTR’s from Nissan and how the turbo work on the cars. And that the same performance transfers over to the Infiniti lines with some of their new models. We talked about it an hour just on maintain an engine that has turbo and how to properly a lot of turbos to drain in a position for about a minute or two every time when you turn your car off. These filled with a vast amount of knowledge and I enjoy talking to him when I come to get my oil change on my vehicle. it’s nice having somebody to chat with about cars and I definitely learned a lot jus. Andreas is another one to talk to you about My questions on the Q50 model and trying to get some special parts from Japan

Another excellent visit with the Taylor Ford of Manteno Service Department! Took my car in for a pre-winter check up (battery, fluids, tires, etc.) and the team was efficient and thorough. Pretty quick too but I didn’t mind relaxing using their free WiFi for the short time I was there. Thanks to Tucker for explaining everything and even confirming that my rear wiper fluid is served from the 1-reservoir under the hood! I’m all set for more happy trails.

His communications were great - told me what services car needed, how much it would cost, and when it would be done.
