Eric Jensen greeted me right away and made me feel completely at ease—offering me coffee, snacks, a test drive, and the Carfax report. Even though I planned to keep looking, after test driving half a dozen other options, Wickstrom’s car stood out as the best—and the most reasonably priced, based on both KBB and Carfax. I still wanted a mechanic's inspection, and both Eric and sales manager Chris Moose were so accommodating—letting me take the car overnight for a full inspection. My mechanic gave it a big thumbs-up, and after that, Eric and Chris even raised their trade-in offer to match the best I’d seen—plus they discounted the sale price, pushing it into the "excellent" range on Carfax. Chris and Denise Ryman handled financing, and despite being on a fixed income, they got me a great rate that fit perfectly. I’m so grateful to Eric (no pressure at all!), Chris, and Denise for making this whole process smooth, easy, and truly enjoyable. We recently purchased a vehicle at Sam Leman in Champaign. Reese Smith was our sales associate and we could not be more pleased with the service he provided us. A very friendly and welcoming individual, Reese was very knowledgeable of the cars on his lot (in our case a Jeep) as well as the services his dealership had to offer. He communicated effectively and seemed to clearly understand our needs, focusing on them rather than what he had to sell. As me and my partner are probably 50 years older than Reese, he explained things in a caring way, never condescending. We felt both heard and respected. Once we worked out a deal we met with Johnny Lane who helped us work out the financing and any features (like a maintenance agreement) we might want to add to our purchase. Johnny was invested in what we wanted, not selling things to us. He clearly explained our options so that we could decide if we wanted them or not. In some cases he began with saying, “I don’t think this is something you should consider, but I will explain it to you if you wish.” We left with a purchase we are very pleased with as well as the comfort of knowing that Reese and Johnny are there for support if something should ever come up. We return in a few days to connect with Reese who is going to introduce us to their maintenance team. We could not be more pleased with our buying experience and strongly recommend connecting with Reese Smith at Sam Leman if you are in the market for a new vehicle.
