I’ve been a loyal Chevrolet owner my entire life — my great-grandfather even owned a Chevrolet dealership in Virginia — so it’s very disappointing to say that Southern Chevrolet did a poor job representi great-grandfather even owned a Chevrolet dealership in Virginia — so it’s very disappointing to say that Southern Chevrolet did a poor job representing the Chevrolet brand. The sales team showed little motivation to sell and continuously pressured me to finance the vehicle even though I was paying cash. The general manager and I agreed on a price, but when it came time to sign, the finance manager suddenly added unexpected costs. After hours of frustration, I reluctantly paid just to complete the process. The entire experience took over six hours and felt deceptive and exhausting. I will never purchase from Southern Chevrolet again and cannot in good faith recommend them to anyone. This dealership does not reflect the values or integrity I’ve always associated with Chevrolet. All the fees, options, and trade-in value were clearly explained. Nothing felt hidden or sneaky. This made the process feel much less stressful. Great Communication and Responsiveness Whenever we had a question — about pricing, about features, about scheduling Alex made sure to have an answer immediately or took the time to write it down and got back to us promptly. We always knew what was going on, which was reassuring. Alex and team kept us in the loop at every stage. Although the paperwork took some time (as one might expect), there were no major delays. Once things got rolling, the process moved along smoothly. The car was ready by the time I was told it would be, and the delivery was in spectacular presentation condition! After we bought the car, there was good follow-up. Alex and the team checked that we were satisfied, helped us with the manual walk-through of the features, and made sure we knew how to schedule service etc. It felt like they cared about long-term satisfaction, not just the sale. I purchased my vehicle from Southern Chevrolet of Chesapeake and attempted to have a warranty-covered repair inspected. Upon inspection, I discovered that the right front turn signal was missing a factory gasket, causing vibration and failure. I have photo evidence showing this was a manufacturer defect. More
