Vehicle would not start, called salesman he told me to charge battery and drive it in for a new battery. When service dept checked the battery they told me it was okay. Tried explaining that it had a ch charge battery and drive it in for a new battery. When service dept checked the battery they told me it was okay. Tried explaining that it had a charge and around 400 cranking amps because I charged the battery. Service dept did not understand. I asked who I should call in the morning when my vehicle does not start. I received an 800 number that I called the next morning. After having the vehicles towed in the service dept decided the battery was bad. I suppose it is common to have a battery go bad after 18 months because there was no diagnostics checked to isolate the issue. Vehicle was kept overnight and a tech drove it home and did not see an issue. I explained that I have seen an issue with the lights that never used to happen. Service dept did not see what I was explaining, yet my 13 yr old grandson saw it yhe da I picked up my vehicle. I believe the vehicle will need another new battery within 7 or 8 months. More
I brought my car in for a repeated issue - it would randomly shut off while in Drive and in Park. This was my second time taking it in. I still am not sure if it's resolved because it happened about a week after taking it in the first time. Not once was the repair I was told my car needed mentioned the first time. It was a $600 repair yet I still live in fear my car will randomly shut off on the interstate. Plus I was recommended to get an oil change which I had done in the same location the week before. How do I know that was even done properly if it was recommended? I am also told I need new brakes for another $400. How can I trust that? A car randomly shutting of completely sounds like something that should at least be partly covered if not fully covered but Hyundai did not stand behind their car. I do not even have 50,000 miles on my car. I'm deeply disappointed in Hyundai. More
