After having spent the previous 24 hours going from a "bad" to "worse" truck shopping experience, Scranton set things right. When Jalen greeted us warmly and friendly, with a welcoming tone. Then I told him, "Jalen, I'm real ornery right now because of the last 24 hours, so please help me turn this around". He laughed(nervously), then proceeded to wash those bad experiences from my memory. Overall, Scranton is a very professional dealership where the customer experience is valued above all. For example, we were apart on my trade-in value ($1000), but we collectively found $1000 in value to me elsewhere. That's customer service. Then, the parts department, hand delivered my IOU tonneau cover to our home in Portland. Who does that? Finally, the truck I eventually purchased was presented to me in a proper condition (interior detailed, washed, no broken parts, no CEL, ... ready to take home. Everybody in the service department is great at the front desk area. The workmanship that was performed on my vehicle was subpar at Best. Vehicle went in for an oil change tire rotation. I recently bought a 2020 Ram. Kayla was fine as a salesperson. Pretty much there for the test drive and dealt with the sales manager Rob when she was out. They definitely haven't gone above to make me want to repeat business. We had an agreement to buff out scratches #1. The scratches were slightly improved but wax all over the plastic handles, bumper, grill which everyone knows is a nightmare to get out. Offered at my time andexpense to "wash my car again". Failed to mention the lack of a 2nd key prior to the sale and refused to make a copy since I already paid. Agreed to send me a bottle of touch up paint for some small scratches which I never received. The vehicle was 1 month to due date on emissions which they neglected and that is a dealers responsibility. Whoever registered thre truck didn't list my bank as lien holder so the title was sent to me. Also the truck was slightly pulling and an alignment was done which didn't fix the pull that was agree upon being fixed. Again, I could come in and they would rewash my truck and recheck the alignment but nothing outside of an alignment would be considered unless I pay outta pocket. Also no loaner for me so I'd need a ride in or sit there for half a day. Feels to me like since it was a used Ram and not a GMC/ Chevy these guys didn't want to do anything extra. I have photos of the crap detail job and all the emissions paperwork of the general manager would like to reach out. Still waiting on my agreed upon touch up paint which I have in writing as well. Would love a spar key so I dont have to buy that outta pocket too. Just bought my wife's Equinox at VernonChevy and had a great experience. Scranton is out in my book. More
