I walked into Elk Grove Nissan looking to drive the Nissan Ariya. I never owned an all electric vehicle before so wasn’t sure what to expect. What I was expecting was pushy sales people as I had alread Nissan Ariya. I never owned an all electric vehicle before so wasn’t sure what to expect. What I was expecting was pushy sales people as I had already test drove a car before coming to this dealership. I must have done something right in my life because I met Jarrell the manager, Misael, and finally Stephen Tran. Stephen was introduced to me as the EV subject matter expert, and now I know why. He immediately made me feel comfortable right off the bat. He asked me questions as far as what I was looking for, he didn’t try to upsell me in features I didn’t need, he didn’t rush me to complete a credit application and he actually listened to my needs. Not just listened but ACTIVELY listened. After he summarized all that I was looking for, I test drove the car and realized I found the one I wanted. Now here’s the thing, the car I wanted was $10k more than I wanted to spend but he didn’t push me into getting that one. He said let’s look at options while waiting for the approval. At the end of the day, I got the car I wanted and the features that were must haves. Today I freaked out because the charger cord plugs didn’t fit my dryer outlet. I remember Stephen sent me a text to check in to see how I liked the drive when I got home yesterday. BTW, who does that nowadays?! 😀 Not only did he text me locations near my residence, but he also gave more insight into charging and shared best practices as he’s also an EV car owner. It’s so rare nowadays to find someone who genuinely listens and is present to what your needs are when purchasing large items like cars. It’s a scary thing especially when you’ve never owned an electric vehicle like myself. Stephen is one of those rare finds. I highly recommend you ask for him if you’re looking for an EV auto. More
