My wife and I both felt like we were the "bad guys" trying to pull one over one someone for simply pointing out the vehicle is not as advertised on the website. We proceeded with the sale as we were out of town buyers and our hands were somewhat tied however if we had it to do over again we wouldn't do business with this dealership. Lesson learned.

I am reaching out to you regarding your concerns with your vehicle purchase.
As far as negotiating prices on our vehicles, that is a very easy part of our job since we advertise our lowest prices on our websites. I met with your friend who came in for you who resides in Austin to look over the whole vehicle and even test-drove the vehicle for you. Sounds like someone you trust. He obviously gave you good feedback or you would not have purchased a plane ticket to come and finish the transaction. Your salesperson Mayra went above and beyond and offered to pick you up from the airport so you wouldn't have to get an Uber which she didn't have to do.
The original window sticker of this vehicle had a dealer-installed option for roof rails. The vehicle wasn't traded with roof rails because the previous owner opted to not pay extra when he purchased the vehicle brand new.
We went above and beyond again for you and told you that if I could get the roof rails, I would be willing to give you our discounts as long as we can get them because it is a Chevrolet product and we are a Ford dealership.
You said you wouldn't do that either. I can't give you something free that doesn't come with the vehicle.
I also gave you the option to walk away from the purchase if you didn't feel comfortable with the vehicle or the establishment. You looked at your wife and said you want to move ahead with the purchase of the vehicle. That was entirely up to you. No one bullied you or forced you to purchase the vehicle and we were very clear on that. I offered to refund your deposit if you decided not to do business with us. I am not sure why you think that there were backroom chatters about you and your purchase but rest assured, we appreciate your business and have no reason to behave in a childish manner.
