It seems like this dealership uses sketchy at best maybe even illegal tactics. After clearly stating the price of the vehicle online, once I called to get an out the door price the price had changed because even illegal tactics. They say those are non negotiable which according to laws in Texas are illegal. The Texas DMV states that the dealer ship must have all none title, taxes, and dealer doc fees stated on or in the online price. I believe the Texas DMV calls that a "bait and switch". I will be reporting this dealership but I wanted to warn people away from using a dealership that uses this illegal tactic, because if they do this right out of the gate within the first few minutes of a deal I can only imagine other deceitful tricks they pull once they actually get you to drive down to the dealership. Also when I asked about placing a deposit on this truck, I was told that they do not usually allow deposits. When I pushed back on this because I am 6 hours away he said they might be able to let me put a deposit on it but wouldn't hold it for long if I did. This also felt strange. Just a tip for anyone that runs into this trick from a dealership, this is also used for a bait and switch to get you into the dealership and then magically the vehicle you came in for is gone. The dealership will then try to upsell you because you have traveled so far most people cave and pay more. Just thought I would try and warn people before they fall for the tricks of shady dealers. Went in to buy a used vehicle. My credit took a hard hit by the dealer and Town East Ford refused to write a letter to the credit union to correct the hard hit on my credit.
