I visited this dealership to look at and hopefully buy a used 2023 Camry. Paying them a visit was a huge mistake; at the outset, even before starting negotiations the salesman and the "closer" stated that t used 2023 Camry. We negotiated a price and I bought the car. After arriving at home, I opened the hood and noticed paint overspray and that the front fender had been repaired. Its no wonder that they had the car parked out in the direct sunlight in an attempt to make the damage difficult to see (the car is white). I called the next day , told the salesman that this car had previous body damage and that I was lied to; he admitted that the car was hit and repaired at their dealership! The following day, I took the car back to and spoke with Artie Guevara (used car sales manager); he was very rude, dissmissive, wouldn't let me finish a sentence, and said that I was acting like all of his other customers in wanting something for free! He obviously doesn't like customers very much, even though without customers he wouldn't have a job. Artie also stated that Toyota allows up to 3 body panels to have been damaged and the car would still qualify for "Certified" status. He refused to take the car back and to return my deposit money. He begrudgingly offered to buff and polish out the car and complained about how it would cost him a lot of money, but that doesn't fix the issue of a fraudalent transaction. I called Toyota directly to make my dissatisfaction known to them, to ask about their Certified Used car guidelines and for any help they could provide, The factory rep stated there are no such rules that if a car is "certified" it means that it cannot have any previous body damage, let alone have 3 panels damaged as Artie claimed. The rep said someone from the dealership would contact me in a day or two; I have never received any calls. In California, a dealership does not have to disclose previous accident damage. However, it is my understanding that it is illegal for a dealer to state that a car they are selling had never been in an accident if it actually has been. Turns out that my neighbors stopped taking their cars there for maintenance because the service writers would try to sell unneccesary repairs. Buyers beware, this dealership is a scam, they say and do anything to sell a car, even if it means committing fraudulent and illegal acts; when there are issues, they refuse to be accountable. I have retained legal counsel over this matter. More

This my 4 th car I bought at North Hollywood Toyota. I am happy with their professional and welcoming behavior. My salesman was low key and got me almost everything I asked for.
