I am beyond furious with the appalling experience I had with Jaguar Land Rover Raleigh. I contacted the dealership about a specific vehicle and spoke with Carlton, their internet sales representative, who explicitly assured me the car would be held for me to purchase the following day. Based on that promise, I took a full day off work and drove four hours roundtrip—only to discover, upon arrival, that they had already sold the vehicle yesterday at 4:00PM, immediately after our phone call.
Not only did they fail to contact me to inform me of the sale, they knowingly allowed me to waste my time, gas, and income to try and pressure me into settling for a different vehicle on the lot. This was a calculated and manipulative bait-and-switch tactic, pure and simple.
Worst of all, the orchestrator of this dishonest operation is Jay Tejani, the General Sales Manager. Jay is the epitome of a slimy, untrustworthy car salesman. He will lie to your face, over the phone, in emails—whatever it takes to get you on the lot. Even if you get something in writing, do not assume it means anything. His actions were not only unethical, they were intentionally deceitful.
DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP. I cannot stress that enough. Jaguar Land Rover Raleigh, and especially Jay Tejani, do not deserve your time, trust, or business. There are plenty of dealerships that operate with honesty and integrity—this is not one of them.
