In late March I went to Hendrick BMW and proceeded to test drive a vehicle. As usual, the Client Advisor wanted my drivers license to get the key signed out. I just happened to walk up to the Reception test drive a vehicle. As usual, the Client Advisor wanted my drivers license to get the key signed out. I just happened to walk up to the Reception Desk where the young lady was recording my information for the test drive. Then, I noticed she was photographing my Drivers License with her personal Cell Phone. I commented to her, not really thinking about how she was copying my license, and commented to her that I was surprised she didn't have a scanner for copying the license, for which she replied this was the only way she could get the photograph entered into the system. A couple of days later I was sitting around the house and it occurred to me that she had snapped a photo my Driver's License with her cell phone and was emailing it to her Hendrick BMW account from her "personal" account, so she could copy the photograph from it. I submitted an email to Hendrick BMW about what had happened and they politely sent me an email stating they were sorry I wasn't able to find the vehicle I liked. Since that time, I have not heard anything from Hendrick in regards to my complaint about how my personal and confidential information was shared through an employee's personal email account, across the internet and through who knows how many public servers without as much as an apology. So, my advice when visiting any Hendrick BMW is to keep an eye on your Driver's Licenses, insurance cards and etc. that you might hand over to an employee in preparation for a test drive and pay attention to any Credit Monitoring Services you might have for a few months afterwards! More

Over the years I have owned a number of BMW's and recently started considering the brand again. A few months ago I emailed the dealership inquiring about a couple of options that I had some questions recently started considering the brand again. A few months ago I emailed the dealership inquiring about a couple of options that I had some questions about. The salesman (M Dugan) emailed back and came across in the emails as I was wasting his time. I passed it off as he was having a bad day. Recently, I identified a couple of vehicles at two different locations that I wanted to see in person. One of the vehicles was already sold, as it was a pre-order, while the other had most of the options I wanted, but not all. The Salesman (S Hughes, II) worked up a quote, which had a discount which barely and I mean barely exceeded the Dealer's over-priced addons and the interest rate offer was 1% above BMW USA advertised rate. I was even told that the rate being promoted by BMW USA was the rate offered to dealers. Anyway, I decided to think the offer over and make a decision the next morning. The next morning, I emailed the salesman that I was declining the offer and noted my reasons why. I know the rep. read the email, because I received a read receipt", but never received as much as a thank you for the letting him know. So, I guess that the old Hendrick Philosophy of maintaining a good customer relationship ended a long time ago and now it's all about the sale and kiss off if you don't buy from them! More
