Let the buyer beware. three kids in three years will be getting their licenses - was looking for an older 5-speed civic to teach them all how to drive a stick. 117k miles three kids in three years will be getting their licenses - was looking for an older 5-speed civic to teach them all how to drive a stick. 117k miles - so of course it was “As-is.” Mechanically the car was in pretty good shape, no complaints. But little things - lots of little things - added-up: 1). No rear head rests (disclosed) 2). Only (1) Key (not disclosed) 3). Like-new tires = less than half-tread left 5). Driver door lock broken (not disclosed) 6). Hatch leaks - badly (not disclosed) 7). Several dash back lights out (not disclosed) 8). Control Arm Bushings were cracked (discovered 2 weeks after, obvious damage, obviously not new.) So yes, it was as-is so shame on me for not doing a deeper dive, but shame on them for the non-disclosures to the tune of > $800 to fix (not including the lock or the headrests which would add an additional ~$1,100). The salesman (Chris) was ok, the process was ok. The obvious hiding of the condition problems not-so-much. That and no follow-up related to my complaints - which I said I recognized that it was “as-is” so I wasn’t looking for any compensation, but I’d like to discuss my concerns before purchasing our next vehicle - which I told them would be in 3-4 mos, and coincidentally is now. So it does warm my heart somewhat to be able to say I guess I’m going elsewhere for a 2018 CR-V. Looks like $800 will cost them a $28k sale. I’d’ve liked to go back - sales and process were good. But I can’t, and won’t recommend them given the vehicle condition. Check your used vehicle carefully before buying... More
Regular Maintenance I have been taking my Hondas to Scott Taylor for nearly 15 years. Service is efficient and I trust him to be fair and honest. When I decided to trad I have been taking my Hondas to Scott Taylor for nearly 15 years. Service is efficient and I trust him to be fair and honest. When I decided to trade in my 2004 Accord, I spoke with Scott about the CRV and he encouraged me to consider it. I purchased it in 2006 and love it! More
