He was rude, pompous, and arrogant, to put it concisely. His idea of a good offer was to print out the Carmax quote and offer the lowest trade-in value yet for our older vehicle. I explained that the numbers were not motivating me to buy. He became more rude and angry, and I had to point out his rudeness to him several times. He could barely contain his irritation, and stood by his lousy offer. He also claimed we were not being fair to him, and I explained I could care less about what he thought was fair, and so we left.
