I recently leased a new vehicle from Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago and had a disappointing experience related to billing and customer service. I was told by the dealership staff that although my last payment on my previous lease might be processed, I should pay it, and they would reimburse me directly to avoid any issues with my credit. Over a week later, I noticed that my old car was still listed on my account, and VW Credit informed me that they could not halt the payment because the car hadn't been officially checked in (even though the dealership had received it 10 days before the payment was due). For over a week, I tried calling the dealership to clarify next steps, but my calls would either go to a voicemail that was disconnected, or I was told someone would call me back—no one ever did. When I finally visited the dealership in person, I was informed they could not reimburse me as previously promised, and I was left to resolve the issue on my own. This experience has left me feeling misled and unsupported, both in terms of communication and resolution. I hope the dealership improves its transparency and responsiveness for future customers. I am writing this review to warn others. This dealership held my girlfriend's car for FIVE FULL DAYS to repair a single damaged rim and tire. The delay itself was unreasonable, but the complete lack of communication was appalling. We were given no updates, no timeline, and were left in the dark. When she finally went in person to politely inquire about the excessive delay, the manager, Fred, responded by threatening to call the police on her for simply asking a question. This is not how you treat customers. The service experience was horrific, unprofessional, and frankly, intimidating. We will never return and advise you to steer clear unless you enjoy being ignored and then threatened when you ask for basic information. More

She consistently goes above and beyond, and she is one of the very few people at this dealership w professional, patient, and always willing to help. The same goes for Mohamed Yaghmour (Yagi), who has also been exceptional every time I’ve worked with him. My 1-star rating for the dealership is not a reflection of Kelia or Yagi. They are the only two employees I fully trust here, and the only reason I continue coming back despite multiple negative experiences with the rest of the service department. More
My mom and her friend came into this dealership today and were absolutely disrespected by this man. Throwing around words like “f*** off” and “mooch” because they decided the price was too much because he wa were absolutely disrespected by this man. Throwing around words like “f*** off” and “mooch” because they decided the price was too much because he was trying to scam them with a car for 28,000 when it was typically in the 20-22,000 range and they decided to move on to a different dealership. They ended up going to the dealership in crystal lake and ended up buying the Jetta within two hours with PROPER service. This level of disrespect should not go unpunished. I couldn’t believe what I heard when my mom explained what happened and had me fuming. The woman who was there was nothing but helpful and sweet and is the only reason I didn’t give the dealership a zero star review, but this “man” only cares about a payday and will treat you like pond xxxx because you don’t buy from him. Not only did he lose a sale from a person who came in planning on buying a Jetta but he costed the dealership a sale as well. I guess “the customer is always right” doesn’t apply here. My mom and her friend didn’t throw around nasty words like this guy, they just said “let’s go” and then told the woman “she should find another place to work” because clearly having people like this man employed is pretty sad. If I was there I don’t know how I would’ve reacted to that disrespect to my mother. Never disrespect your customers like this because it is just ridiculously wrong on so many levels. The fact that you had the AUDACITY to tell a customer to “f*** off” should be instant firing. Disgusting. Now go f*** yourself for saying that to my mom. You big man. More
