Normally, we have found that working with car dealers and salesmen, especially for used cars, is a dreadful experience. Frank was extremely knowledgeable about the Mercedes Benz we eventually purchased and was meticulous in assuring that the automobile was perfectly prepared for us, even going so far as to clean a tiny imperfection himself! At no time were we pressured in any way, which made the entire process professional and thoroughly enjoyable. We highly recommend Mr. Waldo and unreservedly encourage anyone interested in purchasing an automobile to consider Dave Walter VW and to contact him as their salesperson. I can affirm that I have never even considered writing a recommendation or review, let alone an *excellent* rating, after any automobile purchase we have made in the past. But in this case, the process was so enjoyable that I believe it is totally warranted. I dropped my car for warranty service. They are in a high crime area and they stored my car outside when they didn't have the needed parts in stock. It was broken into. It has happened there before, but they apparently have not taken measures to increase their security. They promised to replace my stolen items, then stopped returning phone calls. Renee Pegler (Dave Walter's daughter) told me she would get back to me. Then, she didn't. When I finally talked to her, she told me their attorney told them to not cooperate. I had to sue them over broken promises and poor service. I won the case. Enough said. More

I walked into Dave Walter in search of a used car that I had found on-line. When I arrived, I walked around the lot and found the car that was advertised. Soon after, Sean Walsh came outside opened it up an had found on-line. When I arrived, I walked around the lot and found the car that was advertised. Soon after, Sean Walsh came outside opened it up and set it ready for a test-drive. When we got back, we went inside to discuss numbers. On the walk I spotted a new version of the car I had previously found. So of course, we took that on a test drive. I wasn't sold on the car until then. During the test drive, Sean explained the numerous benefits I will get when purchasing a new VW. When we returned to the dealership, I picked the trim level and color scheme I wanted. It went simply like that. The dealership didn't have any so they went on a wild goose hunt to find my specific car. I received much communication throughout that time from Sean and his manager Joe about what they had found and how long it would take to get here. Their search spanned over 200 miles to get the car I wanted. There is a VW dealership 40 miles closer to me than Dave Walter, but the treatment I received from their staff was worth the drive. More

I hate car shopping! I have been looking for over a month and have visited with many dealers is the greater Cleveland area. I just happened to drive by Dave Walters lot one day, looked up the car I saw onlin and have visited with many dealers is the greater Cleveland area. I just happened to drive by Dave Walters lot one day, looked up the car I saw online, sent an email asking if they would consider my offer, recieved an email back from Sean Walsh shortly after with their counter offer, then I countered again and we had a deal... of course only if I liked the way it drove and if my mechanic passed it. So I went in, drove it and liked it. Called my mechanic and they could not get it in until Monday (it was Friday morning). The dealership had no problem letting me take the car home for the weekend (good luck doing that somewhere else) since I lived 45 minutes away and driving back and forth would be a pain. I had the car checked out Monday morning and it was fine! I went back to the dealership and purchased the car. The finance team had a very good APR within 20 minutes. They cleaned up the car (spotless) while we did all the paperwork and off we went! I could not have been happier with the whole process! I will gladley refer anyone I know to shop there.
