Best resolution of an issue possible after the sale I was in a hurry to purchase an "as is" used car and did not have time to take the vehicle to an independent auto service shop to get the vehicle ins I was in a hurry to purchase an "as is" used car and did not have time to take the vehicle to an independent auto service shop to get the vehicle inspected. After the sale, I had the vehicle inspected and we found out that this car had a new mechanical issue that needed repaired and that this repair was going to be very expensive. Dave Walter Volkswagen took care of this entire problem as soon as possible with no questions asked. I would recommend Dave Walter to anyone interested in purchasing a new or used car. More

I was incredibly fortunate to have it break while at the dealership and even more fortunate that Aaron was able to work with VW to have it covered for us being just outside the warranty. What was an initial shock ended up being a very satisfying appreciation of Dave Walter, VW in general and their excellent service manager. I can't thank you all enough!! More

This was to be my wife's car and she really had not had a close look at the RX 350. Also, the Lexus was white and we usually buy black cars so I was just taking her over for a look. Justin Koss was a young, professional, well informed salesman. I told him we were just going to look but he patiently took us for a test drive and told us the history of the car, which means a lot to me. When I buy used, I want one owner, never been wrecked and low miles. Justin delivered on all of my parameters. I never dreamed that a VW/BMW garage would have any interest in our 2011 Forester. I was planning to sell it myself and buy my next car with no trade. I had a price in my head what I wanted out of my Subie. Long story short, we drove the Lexus home. Justin and Bob, their used car manager, made me an offer I couldn't walk away from. No pressure, just two honest gentlemen who were a treat to deal with. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. Top shelf. Class act. Sincerely. More

If I could rate Dave Walter VW more than 5 Stars, I would!!! I needed a new car and went to Dave Walter at the suggestion of a friend. I found a great deal on a 2014 Passat. Gary our salesman and Joshua the Business Manager took great care of me during the purchase. When a small problem occurred I took the car back to service and they fixed it for me. Josh and Gary went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. They are great to work with. Dave Walter VW is the place where I will be certain to recommend to friends and family. Great Dealership! Walked into the dealership not expecting to walk out with a New 2015 VW Jetta at such an amazing price. It was ver obvious that all the dealers had the customers best interest in mind. Came in 30 minutes before they closed just thinking we would be in and out and ended up leaving at 10:30 and the general manager waited patiently with all of the questions we had about the car and finalizing buying it. Me and my family were starving by the end of the night and Joshua Deluco paid for our dinner. I wish all dealerships were like this.. Unbelievable! More

Complaint over purchase of a certified pre-owned 2012 Passat I researched the best cars with certified pre-owned vehicles and found that VW was rated among the best certified pre-owned inspections. I went to th I researched the best cars with certified pre-owned vehicles and found that VW was rated among the best certified pre-owned inspections. I went to the dealership and bought a certified pre-owned 2012 Passat that had come off a lease. I first noticed marks on the windshield and pointed it out to the salesman. He tried to wipe them off, but they would not come off. The dealer sent out a company to treat the windshield, but that produced a wavy windshield. Next, the dealer agreed to replace the windshield, but not with a manufacturer's product (VW). I also pointed out to the salesman that the brakes were pulsating and rumbling. He drove the car and agreed, but then he consulted with the service department and they said it was probably just rust and that the rust would wear off when I kept applying the brakes. I drove for a couple of months because the problem improved somewhat, however, passengers kept bringing it to my attention. I scheduled the car for a brake inspection and told them it was a continuing problem from the day I purchased the car. They said that it was a maintenance problem not covered by my certified warranty. I complained because the brakes were worn and defective from the day I bought it and I drove it to fix the problem as is was told, but the problem still existed. The wanted to charge me $900 +tax for rotors and pads, but I objected. We negotiated the price down to $650 + tax and I paid. My complaint is that this car passed a perfunctory inspection to reach the certified pre-owned status, for which I paid a premium to receive this certification. I should never have been certified with a defective windshield and defective brakes. Moreover, I am extremely disappointed that the salesman did not come to my defense, because he knew of the problem from the beginning and told me to bring it back if the rust did not wear off. He should have put my brake complaint in his file for reference. When the service department checked with him, he denied remembering what he had said to me. I want this review to be an alert to prospective customers that unlike me, you should not trust the salesperson and make sure your complaint is registered in writing and in the file. I wound up paying $700 more than I should have, and I now have an after market windshield when the car should have been prepared better from the start as a certified pre-owned vehicle, for which I paid a higher price that otherwise would have been the case with an ordinary used car.
