Visited Vision Hyundai Henrietta Rochester on 10/06/2025. Appointment scheduled by Sean Richardson Service Manager to follow up on a very difficult to identify problem due to the facts that the Check Engine Light has not detected an increase in the amount of engine oil above recommended levels. I want to provide some background information in base of my own observations… I have meticulously inspected my car tires, the engine oil and all fluid levels every two weeks since day one. I check the engine oil around 10 to 15 minutes after the engine reach operating temperature, I also have check the oil 10 to 15 minutes after a long run and even with the engine cold and have noticed that the oil level keep raising above the factory recommended full level mark. However I may be doing something wrong because when I notice that the oil level is over what I believe is the full line mark, after the service is performed the service reports reads that the oil level is normal. Sean put a plan in place to monitor this problem to be able to determine if the engine oil level remains at or above the factory recommended full level mark after 1,000 miles. The service technician marked the drain plug, the oil filter and lock the dipstick to ensure no “oil is getting into the engine”. Excellent idea! However it is my perception and I could be wrong, that the engine management logic or something else could be the problem. I want to thank Sean Richardson for his excellent level of service and professional support. Sean walked the extra mile to help and to look forward to find a solution. I do understand that without a check engine code it is very difficult to troubleshoot unless a campaign or an update becomes available. Joe.
