HORRIBLE! I will say this over and over and over to anyone looking to buy a vehicle. Do NOT go to VanDevere Kia. We did deal with one nice person in finance. He went from being the nicest person ever to the most horrible person ever. We were looking at a 2013 Kia Sorento. Told we were only approved for a 2016 optima or sportage by the lender. We declined those and were ready to leave and then all of the sudden the lender approved the 2013 Sorento. Weird, but okay. We expressed the $ amount we were not willing to go over several times to the salesman and he assured us that he would get it where we were asking. After a few hours at the dealer he told us we could take it home for the night to be sure we liked it. So we did. Returned with it after my husband got off of work the next day ready to talk payments.... first offer was a little over $600 per month! What?! Needless to say we declined. Salesman got very angry and became a completely different person and even sarcastically said "well I sure hope you enjoyed having it for the night" and then told us that we were "very unrealistic " in what we were looking to spend each month on a car payment and that no matter where we go the interest rate would not get any lower (still unclear what their actual lowest came back as. One person said 16% and one said 18%.) And then to top it all off, they managed to run my credit 16 times as a hard check. Talked to TransUnion and the dealership successfully dropped my credit score 10 points (this being after I was assured they would only run it through their best 2-3 lenders). Spoke with a couple people after this and have been told I would hear from the GM.... that has yet to happen. Joke is on them. I will be signing papers at Great Lakes Honda tomorrow. With a payment that vandevere said would never happen and a percentage rate they could never get. It's okay, I'll drive it on over for you all to see. Maybe the salesman I dealt with at your dealership should learn from my new salesman More

I have been extremely disappointed with the aftermath of purchasing my car from here. For one no told me that when it came maintenance I only had to do what was in the owners manual to maintain my warranty until just recently. I have spent hundreds of dollars that I could have saved. Also I own a 2013 Kia Rio I should not have already had to replace bulbs in my right and left headlight. I owned a 2004 ford Taurus for four years and Ive only had to replace bulbs in my headlights once and that car had over 150000 miles on it plus I was in the last year of having my car. Also I have fuses blown in my car already and my car has 30000 miles on it. I feel these issues should be covered by the warranty because these little issues are starting to add up. More

My wife was still at work, so on the test drive he suggested we surprise her and pick her up. She was estatic! I've been buying cars every 4 years for 30 years now. Not only was this the best experience we have ever had buying a car, but Adam made us laugh, kept us entertained and took the time make us feel like we were his friend first. We cannot thank the VanDevere team and especially Adam for making everything so wonderful! You have earned a customer for life! More

Don't stand behind their work! I had a part replaced on my car here 6 months ago. When I took my car somewhere else for new tires I was informed this same part was bad. After talkin I had a part replaced on my car here 6 months ago. When I took my car somewhere else for new tires I was informed this same part was bad. After talking to Mike in service he told me that the part had a 1 year/ 12000 mile warranty. However, two different shops have told me that they have never heard of mileage specifications on the warranty of front end parts. They told me there is a year warranty on front end parts but the mileage doesn't matter. After telling this to vandevere they still won't stand behind their work and want to charge me $85 for a diagnostic fee when I already know what's wrong. Buyers beware, this place may seem nice, but they don't stand behind the work they do. More
Performed unauthorized repairs without our consent! We recently took our Buick Regal in for some warranty work at the Market St location. We were surprised when we arrived to pickup our vehicle and they We recently took our Buick Regal in for some warranty work at the Market St location. We were surprised when we arrived to pickup our vehicle and they informed us that we would be billed for work we never authorized. The best part of the experience was the fact we discussed the warranty work to be done prior to making the appointment and were assured that everything was covered. We purchased 5 vehicles with this dealer for personal & business purposes this calendar year totaling almost $135k. I just cannot believe they are willing to lose us over this kind of blatant bad business practice. Customers by law are required to receive an estimate an approve work performed prior to work being performed. We are extremely dissatisfied with this dealer and they definitely will not receive any more of my personal business. You bet I will dissuade any future purchases for my business as well. More
I didn't go to buy a car, but I met Patrick and I did. I had a 1913 Kia Soul with only 4,800 miles on it but went to VanDevere's to see if the 2015 model was in yet. They weren't but salesman Patrick Scofield showed me all the great features I could get on the 2014 and let me take it for a test drive. I was hooked. Patrick was so informative of all the extras, how they worked and was extremely patient and friendly in every little detail. He was able to explain how best I could trade mine and get the most for it. I drove my new 2014 home knowing if it hadn't been for the kind treatment I received from Patrick that I would never know what a difference there is in the two vehicles. If you need a friendly, knowledgeable and patience salesman ask for Patrick Scofield and you will be pleased with his service to you. More
